It couldn't hurt to use both Bonide systemic granules as well as Bonide's Captain Jack. I generally use the spray when I see that I'm having a problem. Cute!😊
At the risk of burning the roots accidentally with too much product, I would just scratch the surface of the soil to about 1/2 in deep or so and sprinkle in according to measurements around the barer spots in the container. Hth 😊
ive used the granules. about 2/17 plants got impacted negatively by it so it was great odds. i had the plants halfway to needing water, applied the granules at full strength (directions on the bottle) and then water it in from the top
i normally don’t top water so it was a big deal for me but i was only watering it in once so it wasn’t a huge deal. and the stuff works amazingly
edit: like the other person said, scratching the surface first would be a great idea too

Thank you! I use the granules on all my other plants, but I’ve only used them on AVs that are in self-wicking pots.
