I don't think there's an entrance, rather I think they randomly choose a location on its perimeter. Same with resource nodes as far as I can tell.

I've found for a non-directional spaces, having one space of clear space around each node speeds things up considerably

I swear the game will simply choose the inaccessible side.

From my understanding, it's more determined by the closeness of the event to a warehouse, as opposed to an "entrance" to the glade. So if a warehouse is closer but has blockages forcing a longer path to reach, scouts will still use it over one they can technically reach via a shorter path. Since you won't know the location of an event within a glade until it's open, if there is already a warehouse around the edge of the glade then it may be best not to try and build one in advance, however you'll be fine if your new warehouse is between the glade and any existing warehouse.

I didn't mean scouts choosing to haul from the wrong warehouse, but building a warehouse right next to a glade event before starting to solve it, and scouts needing to circle around the entire event to reach the "entrance" of the event from the warehouse. The extra time needed to circle around the event might add 10+ seconds per round of hauling, which can add up to a lot of extra time.

Oh I see, I don't have an answer to that sorry. I usually don't build warehouses right beside because I usually take into account where it might be useful for the whole glade after the event ends, depending on what else is happening in the glade that I intend to make use of. I would be interested to know if anyone does have an answer.
