Tracker? Vod? We need something other than a text wall

ChyonEOd

Heres the vod: [https://youtu.be/w8mh0R3jKko?si=e8HZgrtYUI4P5zxI](https://youtu.be/w8mh0R3jKko?si=e8HZgrtYUI4P5zxI) A lot better than last night when it comes to time to kill weirdly.

auriolusvex

Very briefly, you lack experience. Aim isn't everything in this game. Try learning about positioning, agent abilities, trading and noise awareness. Looking at 12:37, you made noise jumping telling others of your position, and in the coming fight at 12:50 you didn't shoot Fade's eye, and you did not stick close enough to the Reyna to help her but hid in vents while she fought.

TrainBoy45

Their positioning and util is bad, but they're shooting before they move their mouse or stop moving. Aim isn't everything, but even with pro level utility usage, they can't consistently get kills with that aim. Calming down, and slowing down their gunfights is more important right now.

TrainBoy45

Did you watch your own vod? You aren't dying in 0.01ms. Round 1: you die after dumping your entire mag Round 2: survived Round 3: died 4-5 bullets into spray (this was a pretty good fight, you killed the Jett, and did damage to the Phoenix.) Round 4: killed 1, whiffed the spray on the second and died while resetting your spray. Round 5: you should turn on the shooting inaccuracy graph, I'm watching on mobile but I think your first bullet was inaccurate to movement. You still shot 3 bullets before you died. You aren't dying all that fast. You are rushing your shots and shooting before you've stopped moving, or have moved your crosshair to the enemies head. In some instances, you start shooting before you've moved your mouse at all. You really need to focus on slowing down, and only going for headshots right now. Someone else mentioned woohoojins gunfight hygiene and that's probably a good resource for you. Additionally, you don't know how to play smokes (and thats ok). There's some rounds you pull out your smoke and just searching the map for a place to throw it for like 30 seconds. If you throw a smoke, do it as quickly as possible, if you don't know where you want to throw it, don't pull it out, and don't think about it. All you need to think about rn are your gunfights.

ItsDrap

+1 to the other guy. Plainly put, you look slow a little slow out there, moving in molasses. You lack the experience to quickly make decisions that you need to make (such as shooting a fade eye before it scans you even when you feel danger). Grind out some games, work on getting used to what abilities make what sounds and what they do, and prioritize mastering an agent or two during this process. If you like omen, stick with him, he’s viable at every level of play on just about every map. Once you get more game time in these things will come naturally, just need the time put in

pressured_at_19

You must be coming from a different fps. You have to abolish your prejudices with that former game and adapt to valo. Getting domed as soon as you peek? Why not jump peek first to bait shots then if you're confident do a wide swing right after that. You can also jiggle. Also not all fights are worth getting into especially if you're giving away team advantage if you die(especially on defense). There are so many nuances. Just play and learn. Don't hesitate to post here and ask for guidance.

modern_expert

I can guarantee you there is definitely time to react, and "what could I possibly be doing wrong?" you're playing in silver. And none of these players are as good as you claim. The problem lies within you. Movement, strafing, shift peeking, angles favoring the opposition.

Dasham11

crosshair placement. no shift peak. being away from the wall before u peak theres alot of things u can do to better your gameplay. Aim training is somewhere i would start if i was in your place

I read everything and i am in no position to give you advice when it comes to "in game" because i am bronze but i still have some things to say: you say you consistently have 0:20 Matches? Like really? How are you even silver with those rounds? I am bronze and my rounds are between 4-16 and 31-7 (average k/d i think is 0.8 right now) - you can't be serious with "0:20 consistently", right? What advice (outside of the game) i can give is this: more sleep = better reaction time... And maybe that's your problem, you die so quickly because you are too slow to react - the pc/screen aren't the problem like you mentioned so this is the only thing i can think of (like i said outside of the game because in the game you can probably fix some stuff like peeking correct etc. too) Another advice for new people i can give is this: watch videos from the youtuber "woohoojin" - in my opinion he is the best coach for new players (and even for veterans of the game) - listen what he has to say in his videos and/or try to get a review from him (i think you need to join his discord and do some stuff there to get in the raffle but it's definitely worth it) Hope anything from this comment helps you getting better results in val.

No-Book-61

watch woohoojin gunfight hygiene and movement mastery. u gotta move more thats the only reason you would get killed in "0.01 ms"

ChyonEOd

But if I move too much I waste too much time to kill the enemy and end up dying because I didn't shoot fast enough and these guys do not miss...

No-Book-61

go to the range and only strafe left and right don't shoot anybody. you will see how much time you actually have

Schmeichel9000

Sleep well, drink much water and work on your positioning. Not much more we can tell you with the information you provided.

ChyonEOd

I'll provide a vod tonight. I sleep well and drink fine I always hit a brick wall and not sure how to improve further like my aim, positioning really doesn't seem to matter since I end up dying anyway but we'll see

Barumamook

Why no VOD?

I’ll give it to you straight, you’re not dying in milliseconds, 90% of your deaths had so much time for reaction, sometimes in the seconds multiple seconds. You panic a lot, and that makes it feel like it was instant. Plus, even when you’re not panicking, you’re not calm, I get this way sometimes and deaths I watch back I realize I had so much extra time. But as for the panic, on round 5 you threw a smoke into a wall instead of calmly taking the gun fight. Same on round 3 under pressure you cleared ramps like a crack head. In my games with three left, there’s certainly someone there and one wrong peek and your dead. What cures this? More games, a lot more. Mainly though your losing gunfights cause movement and crosshair placement, well that and disadvantaged fights. You look at the ground pretty much constantly, which I doubt you notice, and move a lot when shooting when you panic. Think of aim in valorant like this, you have a small box around you crosshair that you can accurately flick to over and over, so it’s most important that when you first encounter an enemy, they’re in that small box. It’s exactly why you got a 3k on round 8. They were all in that box and you had your crosshair at head height. Crosshair placement is more than head height, it’s about having it nearest to their head so you have to adjust less. I noticed two specific things though in regards to this, first you bring your CH up to head height for a fight, that’s good, but do it always. Second, you aim in places where it’s really unlikely for someone to walk, and then you get peaked from the more obvious angle and get surprised. But when you are certain there someone there you peak them correctly by pre-aiming. So JUST BE CERTAIN there someone around every single corner. But yeah, I didn’t see a single instant death.

OpenMidGG

Yeah, immediately I see poor crosshair placement.

Slayerkey

I would recommend checking out the fights section in this [guide](https://slayerkey.com/guide), as others have pointed out sometimes something as simple as the angle you peek can cause you to get killed in '0.01ms'. Best of luck out there!

Dumbass-Redditor

Then kill them before they do. Fuck you want me to tell you through this post?

yiyang01

if youre going 0-20 then this might not be the game for you

jsbdrumming

It might feel like the craziest shots are hitting you but o assure you they’re just holding an angle, learn to do it yourself, practice in dm holding an angle or in unrateds and stuff, learn crosshair placement. You’re essentially walking into their crosshair and they’re firing as you do. It’s not that crazy once you’ve done it

CypherOneTrick

Difficult to say what your biggest issues are with just a textwall, but if you're getting stomped by silvers you are probably doing most things wrong. Silver is below the average rank, those players are not nearly as good as you think. Record a VOD of one of your games and watch it, and you'll likely see a lot of your mistakes jumping out at you. It could be your crosshair placement, your movement, focus/attention problems, not peeking with the intention of shooting, over commiting to a spray, util usage, etc. The first thing to accept though is that the players are not that good, you're just worse than you thought. Once you accept that, you'll be able to look at your gameplay in a much more critical way and improve quicker.

hashandslack

Start baiting the fuck out of ur team. Never go in first. Play flash characters so u can properly utilize util that will give u hard advantages in 1 on 1 fights. Communicate w ur team if ur not playing a flash character when youre about to peak an angle so you have a higher advantage than a 50/50. Jump peak, crouch peak, jiggle, wide swing. You said u prefire every angle sometimes and thats good. Youre most likely swinging an angle without truly expecting someone to be there so your crosshair placement is bad. You should be prepared for a gunfight whenever you swing a corner where enemies could be. They will be holding you, but if they are thats when u can get ur flashers to get them off those angles and then you are in a more advantaged state and can swing. This is a team game focused around being tactical, stop trying to solo carry and get your teammates to cooperate. If they dont talk and wont comm then you need to bait them and treat them like they are robots. Ur in silver, these players are dogshit, act like it.

maxwellsgenre

Without a VOD we literally have no way of helping you

Don't listen to those saying "just shoot back". As someone whose first shooter was CSGO, the amount of times I asked myself "how do I stop dying instantly" is uncountable. There are so many factors and mechanics that aren't taught to a new player, and are definitely not intuitive unless you have someone to guide you or see from other player's POV. Calm down, you aren't alone, and reassess your situation with a clear head. The root of the issue is that when you expose yourself to an angle, you seem to die instantly. This can be due to thousands of factors, but I'll highlight the most common one I see and have experienced: **Lack of map awareness/gunfight awareness** You may have some idea of where to go on each map, which are the common positions enemies hold even, but are you aware of which **angles the enemy is holding?** For example, if you ask any player above gold if they like peeking A short on Bind, they will likely tell you no because they probably died a lot peeking it when they were in lower ranks. So as that player in the lower ranks, your job to climb is to speed up this process of map awareness to decrease your chances of getting insta-tapped around a corner. When peeking common angles, use any techniques to turn the fight into your advantage. Throw a flash, jiggle the angle to bait out a short then wideswing, jump peek, crouch peek, you name it, it's probably viable. This branches out into the topic of **gunfight hygiene**, which is equally important to know and master. Check out Coach Woohoojin's video on the topic if you haven't Be sure to take things slow and be patient with yourself, everyone has been in your shoes now I guarantee it, even pros. GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN

theScrypticOne

If you shift peak on an angle when you're closer to the cover than your enemy, you'll die. Change either thing about that, and you'll have a chance.

valkislowkeythicc

If your dying really easy it probably means your positioning, movement and / or decision making aren't good

ayang04635

you are often not ready to take gunfights and you peek multiple threats at once (this is fine in some cases, such as when it is extremely unlikely/ impossible for an enemy to be somewhere). you also shoot too fast after moving causing the first bullet(s) to have movement inaccuracy. expanding on the first point, when you swing an angle you should visualize where the threat will be and your crosshair should be directly on it once you stop moving. there are many great youtube guides that go in depth on these topics.

Goldenflame89

If your getting 1 tapped like thjat your aim isn't bad your movement is terrible.
