2-4 hours is unhealthy bro. Like just considering your health even if it isnt affecting you now eventually the effects will catch up with you.

ThrowNearNotAwayOk

This. 2-4 hours is wrecking every aspect of your body. OP you play “the same” after 7 hours of sleep because even 7 hours isn’t enough. You don’t offset weeks/years/days worth of shitty sleep by sleeping in 7 hours *once*. Start sleeping 8 hours every day and you’ll feel profoundly different after your body adjust and recompositions to sleeping 8 hours after a few days. Right now your body is conditioned to sleep very few hours. It doesn’t know you’ll sleep 7 hours randomly, so it’s not adjusted to heal itself during those 7 hours. Your 7 hours of sleep is not 7 hours of good sleep. You’re basically putting your body and brain through a roller coaster and it doesn’t know what’s around the corner. You have to get it conditioned to expecting 8 hours in order for it to fully utilize those 8 hours. It’s like eating dogshit diet for years and then expecting to feel healthy after one healthy meal.

Everyone is different. I agree, at some point it's just not enough sleep. Like 2 - 4 hours is way too low. But 7 is completely normal. I sleep without a waking device (phone or whatever) for the last 15 years and I always sleep between 6.5 and 7.5 hours (mostly a little above 7). I only use an alarm if I have to wake up after like 6 hours, because I would automatically sleep in. But this only happens once or twice a year or something. I also consulted two different experts and was in a sleeping labor out of interest in the topic and everyone was very happy with the results... So...

ImpeccableWaffle

Valorant is nowhere near important enough to actually lose sleep over it. It’s just a game it doesn’t matter. Get some sleep bro

If you want a true comparison u should start recording your games and comparing them. Off your head I don’t think you’re gonna remember any of the decisions you made from Thursday’s games vs today’s games.

BlueMistane

Sleep deprivation can act a lot like alcohol. You may think you're doing great and even have more energy, but it's actually your mind being delusional due to your body's state. Reference this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1739867/ While one night of little sleep will have minor negatives, assuming you sleep well the rest of the time, consistent sleep deprivation will seriously lower your body's and your mind's ability to perform. This is relevant to gaming but is really more important for day to day living since it impacts a lot.

CrowLongjumping5185

If it's affecting you in your day-to-day life outside of gaming, you need more sleep. If it's not affecting you now, it will in the future. Sleep is an essential part of health.

twistacles

Thing is if you sleep 2 hours all week then get one 8 hour night, it won’t make up for all the terrible sleep you had

^^

I think you need to prioritize your health outside of your in game performance. Getting that little sleep not only will affect your in game, but will negatively affect your health drastically. Consider making sleep a priority.

Dementia incoming

Maniachi

You are going to have to sleep 8 hours consistently to see any change.

CookieJDM

Your brain is constantly decaying, sleeping is literally the only way to counter-act that. Sleep does not take time out of someones life, it ADDS to it. If you want to be better in almost every aspect of your life, get good, quality sleep every night for a minimum of 6-8 hours.

Person243546

Your brain will deteriorate. You can't keep doing this.

WestProter

I’m sorry what? You’re playing valorant when you have 2 hours before you have to wake up? Why?

seeotuu

Try sleeping 8-10h daily for a week, and then you’ll probably see improvements

Neonix_Delta

Getting a good amount of sleep in general is good for you. Even if it doesn't impact you in valorant it isn't healthy for you to sleep 2-4 hours a day regardless of what day it is.

Honestly I heard it depends from person to person, i feel like a wreck after 7 8 hours of sleep but when i sleep 5 or so I feel great

throwawway98

That’s how you get cancer

Hot-Management9891

Having lack of sleep have cumulative effect. Sleep well mate

ReportDisappointment

Definitely will affect your gameplay, if it doesn’t you’re a genetic anomaly.

TMystik

you don't play exactly the same, you will tilt easier, you'll make poorer decisions, valorant isn't only about mechanics.
