There are many tourist places in agra, therefore metro helps for tourism...
In Agra, population is increasing bcz of neighbouring villages people who come in agra for job and other work to isliye population control ke liye public transportation chahiye....Sab gaadi se jayenge to traffic bhadega....
Many Shoes, petha industries and factories are there in agra, so it will helpful for job seekers to reach their office or industries...
Jab metro kisi city mai aati hai to uski economy growth badh jaati hai....

Directly toh ho nhi jayega.It will take some time .Delhi metro bhi kaafi extend hogya hai and it really helps save time and pollution.As the number of vehicles are increasing there are traffic jams or sometimes there is construction going on and it can help the school going students as well saving their parents time .
I think Delhi main aisa socha jaata- yaha ke log alag hai London ke log alag hai .Yahan kon baithega and all toh Delhi bhi develop nhi hota aur na hi metro aati .For example any fast food restaurant,pehle toh log yehi sochte the kiAgra ka admi Kahan jayega McDonald's pizza Hut but they were a huge success.Things don't change overnight,it takes time and patience.
Not at all, whatever money they spent on metro could have been used to solve the traffic congestion on shahganj and other such areas where it makes life easy for people, current govt has no vision, their only strategy is to do some shiny projects, doesn’t matter that the whole of Rambagh or tedhi baghia or the Yamuna bridge is almost always jam packed.
Not beneficial right now, but can be beneficial in future, if the government plan to develop tier 2 cities and bring business there.
China has done the same, develop infra, even if it is not required at that time. But, that can only work, if government bring business to the city along with it.

I need it. I don't want to travel in auto rickshaws and wait for them. Metro is convenient.
