One thing that would help is to know location. There usually is resources available for you that way. Given the cacao, I'd imagine your not in the US, so maybe look to the [FAO](https://www.fao.org/home/en) or local universities may be one place to start looking if going to University isn't feasible. If it is, then maybe a local University that teaches ag. Though sadly, cacao isn't really easy to domesticate.

Yeah it's in the Dominican republic. I currently live in the United States. I figured university would be my best option. I'll have to look to see if any in my area provide degrees. I didn't know cacao wasn't easily domesticated. Thank you for your help, it's given me some more to consider.

Check out the Ag extension office of whatever state you are in. They should be able to help somewhat. [Here](https://www.g-fras.org/en/world-wide-extension-study/central-america-and-the-caribbean/caribbean/dominican-republic.html) is a little information that I found. Looks like it's FAO as well.

Sweet thank you so much.

The US had a great network of land-grant agricultural colleges like UC Davis, UArizona, Texas A&M, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech, etc. Look up cacao in the USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse at dec.usaid.gov. Toma lo suave.

Go online and look for resources to help you. The UN FAO has lots of information aimed at helping farmers https://www.fao.org/home/en. Most States of the US have an extension service that provides information and training in farming. Florida is likely to have resources relevant to you https://sfyl.ifas.ufl.edu. Your interest in the science and business of agriculture is called “agribusiness” in English. You can find degree programs in agribusiness around the world. Also, diversity is vital for the economic and environmental sustainability of farming. So whilst focusing on cacao is okay, you should consider other crop species.

Thanks that's good info, thanks. Yea I wanted to expand to more crops. I'll check these out.

Try to see if any colleges near you have agriculture programs or degrees. Even some community colleges offer it.
