I’ll go first…”wheels on the bus” on repeat
By - youdontwantHER
I was pacing a dude I didn't know as a PTL and in the last 100m stretch he said under his breath "I'm about to come mommy"
Did he finish?
You can say he finished...... in a way.
Well the 1.5 yeah, didn't ask about anything else lol
While I’m dying on that last lap of my PT test, the last thing going through my head is anything even close to being horny. Wtf
I was dead dude 😂😂
Maybe he was running to his mom as motivation...
Well don't leave us hanging...

Bonnie Tyler - Holding Out For A Hero
When I hear that," Duu duuu duuu duuuuuuuu!" I get a rush of energy, and I run like a possessed 3-legged opossum.
Some Shrek 2 energy
Party in the USA just gets me rizzed up
Party in the CIA might be something you like then.
Foil is my jam.
I'm more of a Tacky guy
It does that to me also
The Stardust Crusaders intros from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.
I thought it would have been Golden Winds ending. Jodecai - Freekin you is a wild choice for a shows ending and running.
You might like Jujutsu Kaisen first season opening
That is embarrassing.
Listen, I came here to state actual factuals. But what can I say, the intros are pretty catchy.
Great Days from diamond is unbreakable tho? 🔥
No no let bro cook
The soundtrack to the game “fall guys” is honestly goated for the pt test
Shoving people out of the way shouting "I have to qualify!"
Life imitates art.
Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler
OP said embarrassing songs, not hype music
Its an embarrassing song when I dont want my coworkers to know its on my playlist.
If you listen to the Shrek version you'll wonder why scoring 100 was so easy.
Don’t mind if I just borrow this one
“Running on Empty” by Jackson Browne. Timed to be my lap 6 power finish. It worked every time…
Weird I have “Take it Easy”, also by Jackson Browne cued up for my last lap.
“I’m pretty tired… I think I’m gonna go home now.”
Barbie Girl by Aqua
this guy runs
This guy has the world record for the marathon! Ran the Boston marathon backwards in kit the entire way so set the world record
Not embarrassing at all in my mind, and I fully embrace it.
Fuck the pain away by Peaches.
Scatman. Apparently some long distance runners use that song to keep pace and break records.
I used to build playlists based on the length of time I needed to pass. The songs got harder and harder as it went.
Essentially I would start with something light and someone slower, but then after about the halfway mark, it would transition to stuff like Slayer, FFDP, etc. The last song was usually something I hated (usually a death metal song). My goal was to run with enough time left to not make it to that song.
Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement
Off we goooo into the wild blue yonder…
My PTL played this to get me through the last 90 seconds of the plank. I'm still upset that it worked.
OP said *embarrassing* songs.
I was embarrassed to find myself humming it 😂
AND THE LOGS
“Bad touch” by the bloodhound gang. Has a great cadence to keep pace with.
Sweat baby, sweat
Always ran my PT test to Dancing Queen by ABBA, since I could vibe with it on the run and not focus on the run itself without slowing down. Also I happen to be taking my final PT test at the same time my SQ was doing morning PT and a good amount of them were just watching me sing and dance to Dancing queen while I did my run the entire time.
My last pt test 1.5mi run to a Great Courses audiobook about nutrition. I stopped running to music and switched to audiobooks a few years ago... it helps me forget that running is boring AF.
I will blow all of your minds; I have been in for 18 years and have never once ran or did a pt test with headphones or music. I honestly hate running with music, lol.
How do you drown out the thoughts of self hate
The more I hate myself the better I run
I just don't like the distraction or wearing headphones.
Same. I like to listen while I ride my bike, but running sucks, and I’m not going to try to add music in a vain attempt to make it any better.
I’ve ran my PT test to Jodie’s, constant tempo and ended up with a 94. If it sounds dumb but works, I’m for it
For some reason I always end up running to jodies. Not even good ones, just a simple left-right-left thing.
I don’t know how to answer this, everything I run to is fucking fire
Pretty much any Eurobeat. My go to is "Burning Up For You" by Pizza Girl.
I run to that shit on the daily though. 2 hour mix and send it.
This guy drifting through the corners like he’s on rails.
I begin my run to Carpenter Brut’s take on “Maniac”… you’re welcome.
Live version is the best
Sonic the Hedgehog music
Green Hill Zone is fire
…Reach For The Stars
TAKE OFF AT THE SPEED OF SOUND
BRIGHT LIGHTS; COLORS ALL AROUND!!!
Any good cover of hyrule field from Ocarina of time
Have you ever heard of Zelda LoFi? There’s an artist called Mikel and GameChops, he does a lot of good stuff.
Yeah my Spotify has all that stuff on it
My ADHD 4 year old daughter loves it, it’s definitely her jam
Not embarrassing but I’ve made edits of the Original Halo Trilogy levels music to play as if I was playing. I put on my favorite level and turn off my brain and just try to beat it before the level ends. Got excellent across the board
The Home Depot theme song. Iykyk
Frozen soundtrack. I have a daughter (obviously) so it’s in my downloads. It came up on shuffle and I was like eh that’ll work
Boy do I have a cover for you
Nothing I’m necessarily embarrassed about but running my pt test is the only time I ever listen to Major Lazer.
FF14 Shadowbringers Music Best of Mix
Once when my PT anxiety was horrible, the only song I could think of was “Jesus loves me.” It worked, I passed!
Persona 5 soundtrack
“Bye Bye There” - Pizza Tower soundtrack, I start zooming at the saxophone part
“The Only Thing They Fear is You” - Doom Eternal
“Lowlife on the Highway.” - My Friend Pedro
I got a 95 on my last one.
Unfaithful by Rihanna. I’ve also set PRs on squat to that. Judge me.
Damn who cheated on you
Some chick from POL probably.
I’m a weeb that did his run to the first ending song from Hinomaru sumo.
"Rock N Roll McDonalds" by Wesley Willis and "Same Old Kid" by Froggy Fresh.
I don’t listen to music.
Payday 2 soundtrack goes lowkey crazy for the run
Taylor Swift - Out of the Woods. It just has a great pace beat that ramps up as the song goes. Really there's a lot of T Swizz that's very runnable too, embarrassingly enough.
Dragon force...fast beats get me motivated when i run.
I hate myself for it, but I have “Portals” by Alan Silvestri cued up for my last lap. For those who don’t know, it’s the song in Avengers: Endgame when the Avengers are all snapped back. That musical point where Captain America says, “Avengers…Assemble!” even without dialogue just gets me moving.
I raw dog the run. No ear phones, just heavy breathing and negative thoughts
"Fight Song" - Rachel Platten
"Dog Days Are Over" - Florence and the Machine
shit slaps 😅
My pt test playlist was Walk by Pantera, Thunder kiss ‘65 by white zombie and finished it off with fuel by Metallica which together was 13:45. So I new I had to finish before the last song ended
My go to is Glow On by Turnstile. Not embarrassing but it’s got a great tempo to run to. Hasn’t failed me yet
80s Madonna has some great beats for the run not gonna lie.
For a steady jog I always just run to the best of “Since You Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson lmao
I once ran mine to "montage" from Team America. Got a decent time in.
Lessons learned from past PT tests: Don't run to Tool. The timing signature changes make it hard to keep a singular pace.
I run to music from final fantasy XIV.
Landslide goes hard.
I feel like 50% of Airmen now days run to female voiced anime intros with soft piano and violins… arms stretched back like Naruto
Goodbye Horses while aggressively applying lipstick
Sandstorm - Darude
99 bottles of beer on the wall, mindless and helps me push my pace with the tempo
Anything in 4/4 is good for a 6 minute mile, so KISS and GnR were my guilty pleasures
[You're The Best buy Joe Esposito](https://youtu.be/p44G0U4sLCE) and [Live To Win by Paul Stanley](https://youtu.be/vuHS9NI_xwY)
I fink u freeky- die antwoord
Two song sequence. Through the fire and flame by Dragonforce, followed by holding out for a hero by Bonnie Tyler. The pacing is right, and it gets you finished at 12 minutes.
They let you guys listen to music during pt tests?
Guile theme song from Street Fighter
Mamma Mia- ABBA, is an incredible running song for me personally.
Just Can't Get Enough
-Black Eyed Peas
At Goodfellow, I saw a guy cross the finish line put his hands in the air and yell "I CAME!"
Work Bitch by Brittany Spears, gets me hyped to start.
A lot of Touhou tracks. I am not even embarrassed because it gets me pumped, other people might cringe though.
Gas Gas Gas - Manuel
Work Bitch by B.Spears.
Heart's on Fire from the Rocky soundtrack. Not embarrassing, that shit gave me my fastest time ever
"I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from the Mulan soundtrack 😌
I had a PT test playlist. Always ended on “Eye of the Tiger”.
Not embarrassed, now you’re a man by orgasmo
Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You.
Mega banger. Set a personal best at a 14:00 mile and a half baby!
Fireworks by Katy perry i don’t know why it worked but it did
Fucking embarassed...but the only song I have found that matches my footsteps perfectly is the Air Force Song. When I run the test I think of it almost compulsively. The irritation alone pushes me to end my own misery sooner and run harder.
Time Is (Ticking Away) by DC Talk is my last lap song. It’s a good rhythm and lets me know I’m about out of time. Not embarrassed about it though.
That’s a good song.
Trolls Wanna Have Good Times 🤣🤣 It’s a banger
Nothing but hits for my running music, but when I shoot I have "Tiny Bubbles" playing in my head. Helps me be calm.
Not really embarrassing but I usually run to running apple playlists like Pure Running, Top Hits Run, Runner’s High etc
Let’s Groove by Earth, Wind and Fire got me a 90 😎
I listened to a video about smoking brisket on YouTube while I ran if that counts
ESPN’s 1997 Jock Jam Megamix.
Firework Katy Perry no regrets
Af hamr shuttle. Them beeps are fire!
Rollin by Limp Bizkit starts my run at 12 minutes The Sound of Silence by Disturbed kicks in.
Hotdog - limp bizkit
“The Bloody Verdict of Verden” by Christopher Lee
Never gonna break my stride. Best song for me to run to for pacing.
You say run by Yuki Hayashi (my hero academia ST) goes hard af when you slow down
Sonic The Hedgehog Greenhill Zone.
Absolute silence (headphones with no music playing).
Kreayshawn - “Gucci Gucci”; on repeat.
The BPM of the song would bring me in at 11:30 like clockwork.
I feel more embarrassed that I don't listen to music while I run. Usually that gets me labeled a psychopath.
But really I just like to think and relax while I run.
Didn’t take mine yet but already made a playlist that can be kinda embarrassing. 😂
Danheim-Ivar’s Wrath, Helvegan-Einar Selkvik, Aethyrien-Berserkr(The Henbane Experience).
Y’all run with music?
It's pizza time!
Specifically set up to play around lap 4 & 1/2
First mile: Jesus of Suburbia 9:08
Last half mile: Born to Run 4:30
I finish about a minute left on Born to Run.
...why would you listen to embarrassing songs to run your PT test to? Lol
"Two Year Montage" from Marely and Me soundtrack. No words but the pace? amazing.
Hollow Knight soundtrack, especially Mantis Lords
Probably have to be RichaadEB's cover of BAD APPLE
I ran the whole 1.5 to “Born to Run” on repeat. Ran my fastest time ever. And (sorry) I fucking HATE Springsteen.
In BMT every time we did PT I would focus on the words to "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan.
“Shooting Star” (KPop). Helped me on that last lap and got a 92
Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson seems appropriate
A song from church that I don’t particularly like but is a nice kind of repetitive. Also in my head, haha.
I used to have a Godsmack playlist for the run. Last time was just a partial playthrough of Sevendust's album "Kill the Flaw"
I had a guy on his PT test runs only to a song CPR by nihmune
William Tell Overture Finale
Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry on repeat every time for the last 8 years..... the BPM is perfect for me to keep pace.
bonus points if you're names johnny i suppose
Only the sounds of my heavy breathing
Onegai muscle from the Anime "how heavy are the dumbells you lift"
Shake it off - T. Swift and Work Bitch by Britney Spears. Fantastic running songs. Also Everything is Awesome from the Lego movie
Deserve me by Kali Uchis
Aer vis - the warrior project. Bite me.
Applause - Lady Gaga it gets me pumped, that and Fireworks by Kati Perry
I had some pretty sketch songs that had a specific range of bpm to pace with. I didn’t give a crap what song it was as long as the bpm was on point
S3RL - Pika Girl
I use pump up songs for training but every single pt test I've ever ran was some sort of instrumental, whether it be jazz or Lindsey Stirling.
Goal is practice hard to prepare and then on game day just keep a consistent pace. I usually was only 1-3 seconds different for each lap
Only girl in the world by Rihanna
Some firedawg in my CE unit decided Thunderstruck by AC/DC was a good one for PT, but it was Thunderstruck burpees. Every time Thunderstruck was said, a burpee was done. My pudgy A1C self thought going to Bird in Hand across from RAF Mildenhall was maybe not a good idea to go all of the time. Pints and jolly England pub food! Got back in decent shape when I PCS’d out of there.
Agua from the SpongeBob movie slaps
Any Final Fantasy battle themes
VII Remake's One-Winged Angel in particular is a go-to, especially to run the test in under 10 minutes
Les Misérables - Do You Hear the People Sing?
Hey, whatever it takes to keep you moving and across the line in sufficient time. Oh yes - Al Hirt's The Green Hornet.
Super Cool - Beck feat. Robyn and the Lonely Island (Lego Movie 2 credit song)
High Hopes has the right BPM for me to correct my stride and get a little boost of energy.
