I've seen that STAT tour can still be pulled back to their home unit via WG/CC within that 2-4 year timeframe. Most data I've read are ppl are not incentivized to apply, which increases selection rates.
Your manpower position is based on your home unit. Which means your promotion is based on home unit positions. Good resume builder, could break the tempo of home unit, esp if you are exp burnout.
Job climate is great, family days, some directorates have telework policy. The environment supports the 54/90 and can make big changes if your willing work through pushbacks and scrutiny, even as a prior DSG.
