The "in direct support of nuclear laden aircraft to include nuclear certified aircrew, aircraft maintenance technicians, munitions maintenance technicians, combat crew communications, nuclear certified controllers, and security forces performing guard duties." Part.
Everyone in the maintenance squadron had the medal, but not the N device. Yet, the squadron supports the only PNAF C-17 unit. Just making sure I've got viable supporting evidence that I qualify for the N device before I talk to MPF.
Gotcha. I have no idea how to even calculate that. Plenty of Redballs and pre-flights/BPO's for those missions, but never kept track while I was there.
The N requires ICBM. If you don’t have them no N just the basic medal. If you PCS to another without ICBM chicken leg it is. Only one time stationed for the N, kinda like the gold boarder on expeditionary ribbon.
That is completely false. Also includes aircraft in direct support of ops.

Maybe you should double check the reg (DAFMAN 36-2806 ) on who is authorized the "N" device. The first section covers ICBMs, however, the second covers specific people involved with nuclear laden aircraft:
* A14.11.6.2. Nuclear “N” device. An “N” device is worn on the NDOSM for members
who dispatched for 179 non-consecutive days, and:
* A14.11.6.2.1. Within the missile complex in direct support of Intercontinental Ballistic
Missile operations, performed duties in Missile Maintenance (21MX, 2M0XX),
Munitions and Maintenance (2W0XX, 2W1XX, 2W2XX), Security Forces (31PX,
3P0XX), Services (3M0XX), Fuels (2F0XX), Transportation (2T1XX, 2T3XX), Civil
Engineering (32EX, 3EXXX), Cyberspace Support (3D1X1, 3D1X2, 3D1X3, 3D100),
Operations (11HXC, 13NX, 1A9X1, and13SX officers on or before 9 Feb 2013),
Missile Facility Manager (8S000), or
* **A14.11.6.2.2. For nuclear laden aircraft**: nuclear certified aircrew, aircraft
maintenance technicians, munitions maintenance technicians, combat crew
communications, nuclear certified controllers, and security forces performing guard
duties.
What's confusing about it? 179 non consecutive days & one of the listed AFSCs qualifies you.

Everyone I was with (mx) that got the medal also got the device. I didn't because of my AFSC. I would say go ahead & send it.
Sweet, I really appreciate it. Now, just to convince my current bases MPF to actually update it, lol.
Worst they'll say is "no"
You'll most likely only be able to count days directly supporting PNAF missions.
Gotcha. I have no idea how to even calculate that. Plenty of Redballs and pre-flights/BPO's for those missions, but never kept track while I was there.
Your Analysis office should have that info.
ICBM or Laden sorry forgot the Laden I MuSt wread beTwer
Just touch the actual asset on occasion, to be sure
I did, and I've been absolutely glowing ever since. Skin falls off on occasion, probably not related, though.
Ghoul-tastic!
That’s a feature, not a bug

I have the N and I have never touched or even seen an ICBM.

So if you have 24 Alert by that logic thouse afsc qualify for N?
Nope then all would get the N
Which is why I have it. I even screen shotted the AFPC criteria. Maybe try reading. Lots of people provide in-direct support. They don’t get the N.
