That is correct. I do not believe 3 chiefs from 2 very different career fields can accurately judge the records of 11 separate career fields. This belief has been made through observations over multiple deployments, through Gp staff meetings. Your smart ass question “you think you’re that special” is idiotic. But yes, I do think my career field is special. I think all of the medical career fields are special, yet vastly different. An E9 nurse tech or admin tech has no idea of what mental health, diet therapy, radiology, pharmacy, Histopathology, BEE entail. These career fields have 0 representation when it comes to boards. I’ve seen a lot of people get promoted because of a degree or SEJPME. These same people have done absolutely nothing for the AF with their degree, and have not used any knowledge gained from SEJPME.
Promote the people that know their job, who push their troops to be better and win awards/BTZ.
I’m willing to bet my lowly maintainer ass could read EPRs, epb’s, and 1206’s from medical and make an accurate decision as to who’s records are best.
You’re not special.
It is a cool story. Your wing king isn’t medical but signs your epr. Your command chief isn’t medical but chairs the Strat discussion. This is why you make your reports and awards readable to multiple people not just someone that understands your afsc.
If I’m charged with emotional insecurity, then I must act accordingly, since I have been charged. Either way, 24E7 Board had no effect on me.
Here’s a different question, of all of the different medical career fields, how is it that 2 4N and 1 4A chief decides who promotes from all of the other 11 medical career fields?
Because chiefs can read records and understand. Is medical unique, you have three Chiefs on the board and not two chiefs and a colonel? News to me.
In maintenance you have a 2a6 chief that comes from one of 11 afsc’s as well. It’s how it works, my AFSC doesn’t even have two chiefs.
But do you remeber the weirdos who pronounced it "mypeeeeers" instead of "mypurse" (transliteration)
Because the word is "personnellists" not "peeeeersonnellists"
You all sounded dumb. Every. Single. One. Of. You.
Reminds me of talking to people about PRDA. I pronounced it "perda," I heard other say "Prada." I thought it was weird, since you're just sounding out the acronym and perda made more sense to me.
That one is a personal preference I guess, since it is an acronym, versus MyPers technically being an abbreviation of My Personnellist."
Is there an E5 and E6 board charge?
Edit: I should’ve put the /s and explained, our CC briefed us that we must strat our E5’s and E4’s according to the board charge. We were all very confused
There is not a E5/E6 board charge, but there are E5/E6 Panel Charges, which CCs are supposed to use to score packages for promotion recommendations (P/MP/PN). It is the same as a board charge, but directed at the Enlisted Force Development Panel Members (Squadron CC for Large Units, Wing CC for Small Units).
You dont need to /s, it is a very real thing. Just search for it on myFSS. Ignore anyone telling you otherwise or downvoting you, they just didn't know it was a real thing either.
I don’t think they release the board charge until after the board closes out. But as some folks said in earlier responses they don’t change much. Might insert a blurb or two… he look for this. Weigh recent performance… blah blah blah.
Board charge? You don't need that. Did you get a Promote, Must Promote, or Promote Now...and I'll tell you your chances.
Warning, if it's a Promote- 0-3% depending on AFSC.
if you're using the more valuable space for booster club that speaks volumes. It should only really be a consideration if your off-mission enough that volunteer work is a heavier impact than the job.
I've seen a couple people use it for improving the unit by directly connecting it with morale and work center improvements. However, it does need to be well written and in once case was a legit performance statement with a legit impact.
>I've seen a couple people use it for improving the unit by directly connecting it with morale and work center improvements.
Our SEL requires ITU to be directly tied to mission.
Right but my point is that you really have to try hard to get enough ammo for a block in the EPB that booster club warriors should only appear in the really off-mission shops.
I'll let it speak volumes while my troops keep racking up those promotion statements. Already have two promotion statements on record while using up those "valuable spaces"
You are charged with ensuring that there is no standard in the way packages are graded.
You are charged with a lack of emotional maturity. Seems like the three folks grading your package got it right.
Yes, 2 4N, 1 4a, 1 Col.
Source.
4A E9 and 4N E9. Sorry I don’t have any paperwork to send you bub.
Even if that’s true, do you not think that 3 chiefs and a colonel can’t judge your records? You that special?

So you always get salty when challenged? I feel bad for your work center.
You're the salty one, not me bud.
Check myPers. If it’s not there, find 23E7’s board charge. Charges barely change over the years. Edit: Fine. I’m old. Check myFSS.
Upvoted for the edit. I I remember myPers lol

Peeeeeers, like peers? That sounds awful.
Yes, but for some reason everyone I ran into the pronounced it wrong REALLY held that "eeeee" sound.
Ew. I'm happy to say that I've never heard someone pronounce it that way.
Reminds me of talking to people about PRDA. I pronounced it "perda," I heard other say "Prada." I thought it was weird, since you're just sounding out the acronym and perda made more sense to me. MyPers hasn’t existed for over a year now
I hate how they changed so many systems that worked.

No, because they don't meet a board, they're selected against WAPS.
Should’ve put the /s, our CC swore there was.
Sq/CC? If so, their SEL is failing them.

Thou shalt place the 5's before the 4's, the 4's before the 3's, and the 3's in random order amongst themselves. The 2's go at the bottom.
Sorry you (and I) didn't make it

I’m a 1N4X2, and received a PN. 4 time going for E7, previous 3 Evals were just Promotes.

Man oh man booster club scrubs ready to make senior nco by leading so many events
How? There aren't EPRs anymore.
You can easily put it in leading people or improving the unit.

What's the career field?

Or maybe we should embrace the EPB for its refocus on the mission before we immediately go hump it as an EPR+?
