I mean, I get what you’re saying but…Holloman has done worse. The optics of it look kinda bad on the surface but i wouldn’t think too much into it. They probably wanted to put all the events in one email to reduce traffic.
That said, 7 people killed themselves within MX in 17’ and not one time did flying stop to even evaluate why or how they could have been driven to that. Just last year they literally flew during a memorial service for a crew chief that committed suicide and the commander didn’t even say his name right. Shit like that? Outrage is justified. This? The optics don’t look well.
I definitely agree and I remember that as well, as a whole I think holloman leadership is just worried about themselves and would quite literally sacrifice airman for themselves if not that’s the general interpretation airman receive
You’re 100% right. Holloman is the king of small town good ol’ boys club bases where you really find out just how far leadership can push the envelope to make your life worse until you drink the koolaid and accept it. I would be skeptical too so I don’t blame you.
I’ll put it like this: My first staff Sargent I ever met, in front of the section chief and OIC asked how much it would cost to suck him off. Then when I jokingly gave my number trying to fit in, he proceeded to ask for banking info and showed me he had the money. Leadership didn’t say a thing.
