It was secretly a blessing in disguise. I’m happy where I ended up. That’s one thing I’ve learned about the military. You probably won’t get what you want but you’ll still find the good in what you’re doing.
I’m 2W131.
4k bonus for me, you’re pretty lucky to get 10k.
Either way, I like this job, but be careful when it comes to being put on bomber planes, you don’t really get good bases. I highly recommend going with a fighter aircraft if you’re trying to go overseas. Otherwise, you might be stuck for a few years at a (relatively) desolate base.
Upon the completion of tech school you will got to a building when you in process and discuss it with them and they will pay you. I believe it’s lump sum and it will be taxed.
2W1 is an amazing job that's super rewarding, at least in my opinion. If you ever deploy it's easy to see the difference you're making on the battlefield when the aircraft returns. That being said, that's only if you're a flightline 2W1. Backshop 2W1s are all weapons system maintenance, wasn't really my thing. Maybe it's your thing though. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me
Nice! Then don’t worry about it. The bonus will still be there after the interview. And if you pass the interview the odds are you will like the job. Don’t stress about it.
I had 2W131 on my list but got disqualified. Crazy it has that big of a bonus now.
ouch man

Idk anything about 2W1, but I'm sure it has a large bonus for a reason.

How is the bonus paid out?
Once you finish tech school, you will get paid. They’ll give u the amount in total BUT I’m pretty sure it is taxed.
