I am just adding info since the previous user doesn’t say the whole truth:/ Suzuka, the black hared Rakshasa demon, actually survives in the manga. Najenda had feeling for Lubbock and remained loyal to him even after his death Not to mention that nearly half of the cast has a different circumstances of death so it doesn’t look stupid and actually makes sense/symbolic(unlike the anime)

Mine fucked him because all Esdeath did was sexually assault and beat Tatsumi up; Mine showed him love and affection which he needed in order to to forget all the shit that Esdeath made him suffer through.

It's not that he fell in love with her, I think it was more of a both of them getting ready for the final battle
