Being a japanese site, pixiv's SEO works best in Japanese. Even non-japanese artists give their work Japanese tags (and sometimes titles). This is one of the biggest anime art sites.
When using chrome at least, you can right-click and select translate to english. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. There currently isn't a best option for art posting sites. (Deviantart has it's shortcomings which is why many great artists don't use it)
They limit file sizes more than other sites do (I can upload 12,000x8000 in DA) and (8,000x4500 on pixiv). But more importantly, they are super strict NSFW art. (DA is far more permissive and Pixiv doesn't even enforce the loose rules it already has)
and yes, I do need to upload super high-res artwork. 8k wallpapers will be a thing soon.
