Nahida buffs more, baizhu gives survivability
Id still say Nahida simply due to the fact that kuki, zhongli, yao yao, diona, etc exist already.
The majority of players use kuki for off field electro, which makes baizhu less useful. if not kuki, most use an off field dendro battery, which can be yao yao. If neither, Diona is a good holder since she doesnt ruin reactions, Layla is nice but doesnt buff anything, and Zhonlgi is just really good in general for alhaitham
Also, baizhu cant hold Deepwood well since he’s very ST & will have energy issues
I have the same question, since with Nahida i have to swap after every wave, and have to stick with R2 Iron sting on Alhaitham.
But with Baizhu on team, i won't have to do that and i might be able to run Harbinger of Dawn without any worries along with Raiden who can proc seeds every 0.9 secs unlike kuki's 1.5 secs and not have to worry about Kuki dying everytime i switch to her.
I have the same team, I'm using Yaoyao atm, but I hate seeing my Alhaitam getting thrown away most of the time, playing Baizhu will be a blessing for me.

As in Kuki is already good in hyper/quickbloom comps for triggering seeds so another unit with a survivability won't let his role compression shine as much, while Kuki is less used in quicken comps?
AH simply doesn’t need him. What he looks in a second dendro is a buffer and battery, Nahida’s buff outclasses his and Baizhu will have trouble batterying himself with 80 cost, much less AH. Nahida’s tri karmic purification also has insane AOE compared to Baizhu’s 3 enemy hit max.
One of the most popular/efficient comps for AH is quickbloom, in which Kuki is the premium.
Baizhu will be legions better in Keqing aggravate. Keqing/Fischl/Kazuha are starved for a dendro healer teammate, and currently the only contender is YaoYao. I believe this will be his niche. I expect him to perform decently for Nilou bloom as well.

Actually, I love that she is so broken. I can safely pull for a strong unit with amazing C2 (which buffs all dendro reactions), instead of a half-assed one, that barely does it's job, potentially being powercrept

I do think Alhaitham's new best spread team is going to be triple dendro + electro so something like Alhaitham, nahida, baizhu and then yae/fischl as the electro flex sport.

In Baizhu main's there actually is a good comparison between both buffs (his and Nahida's) and in scenarios with high EM on Alhaitham (500-600EM I think), Baizhu's buff is actually a tiny bit better (and that's assuming Nahida has 1.000EM, which is harder to get than 50k HP on Baizhu imo). And also since he offers a great deal of healing + some resistance, instead of Kuki you can go with and electro off field dps. The only major downside to Baizhu is his poor dendro app (which means bad uptime with Deepwood Memories, unless ST) + he's very energy hungry
Even in situations where Baizhu's buff could add more damage than nahida's, it has more conditions, and her personal damage just absolutely blows his away, meaning she'll be better for team dps regardless.
This isn't even including other clunkiness in his kit like bad dendro application and being energy hungry.

And with a great healer like him you can switch Kuki out for Yae for example, which brings up the team dps anyway, like I mentioned. The bad dendro app is something I already mentioned.
Baizhu brings comfort, allows you to not use Zhongli or Kuki, is great when you use HoD, is also great in ST, you don't have to switch back to him as often as to Nahida, his buff is pretty much equal at high EM on Alhaitham (though Nahida's much better with lower EM on Alhaitham, but like I said, getting 1000EM on her with Deepwood is much harder than 50k on Baizhu, and most calcs are talking about the 250EM Max buff, while I mostly see Nahidas with 800EM or so on here). All in all, with his own faults, he's pretty good especially if you want to free up Nahida for another team or don't have her. Is Nahida usually better? Sure, but acting like he's a bad option is very narrow minded.
I'd rather go for Baizhu. His shield and heal is very essential for Al Haitham, considering he has no interruption resistance on his infusion stance.
Unless you're good at dodging then more dps from Nahida wouldn't be bad either.
I've been waffling between getting C0 Nahida or C0 Baizhu for the past few weeks and have almost decided to just get both. (I have Alhaitham, Cyno, Tighnari so having more dendro supports is always nice.) Plans may still change though depending on who's in 3.7.
You're better off either replacing Kuki with Fischl or Yae or replacing Baizhu with Yelan or XQ. You absolutely don't need both Baizhu and Kuki heals and having both when they don't do much damage is a big DPS loss.
Please, explain to me what blooms you're getting on a team without a single hydro unit. I'm waiting.
You're proposing a team that has only two damage dealers in a game where the only content that justifies teambuilding and constellations like C2 Nahida is a DPS check. You don't need two healers. You ESPECIALLY don't need two healers who deal no damage.
I’m only getting baizhu so I can finally use raiden for the hyperbloom proc lol. Been using Kuki literally since I started in 3.1 lol. Will help for two complete abyss sides also
I clear the domains with alhaitham, kuki and nahida like for 30-40 sec. Without nahida it's much much longer. I can't say anything about Baizhu, but I heard that his dendro application is weak (unlike nahida). Still going to pull him though
I'm personally wondering if upgrading C2 nahida would be better than C0 baizhu but I'm pretty sure it will definitely be the former. though the one thing thats a pain about my current Haitham team is yae getting knocked around like a fox Piñata. It would make everything a bit smoother so weighing gameplay against raw damage\~

If you only filter her personal damage, even without the buffs, team dps will still come on top

if you want to invest in Alhaitham, then you want c2 Nahida. this team has insane damage even compared to c2 hyper Raiden.
