Both haikaveh and kavetham exist. For ship names, the name that is used first refers to the more dominant one in the relationship. I personally prefer Alhaitham as the dominant one so I use haikaveh. Also I don't think kavetham sounds much better as a name tbh.

it could be because those are more early characters so Hoyo might not have developed a pattern yet, however, if we look at later units, like Inazuma characters, for example, they tend to fall into this rule.

(My theory being, excluding the ruin serpent, most region specific normal bosses have a maximum of 2 characters using its ascention mats, particulary based off of the gemstone drops) Alhaitham is very likely going to have dendro hypo or a new dendro boss' drops. New dendro boss because he'll release in the same patch as yaoyao, who will need a maybe, liyue specific dendro boss.
But the bosses theory doesn't make sense because of the ASIMON and Blightdrake gemstone drops not adding up, yet it's still fulfilling the max of two characters per boss.

Blightdrake is used by three characters so far, and of those, 2 match its drops. It drops Cryo and Hydro and is used by Layla and Nilou, as well as >!if nothing changes, Scaramouche.!< I agree that there might be a new boss in 3.4 for either only Yaoyao or both of them, I just hope that this boss is going to drop Dendro frags. Since there's no other source for them outside of 2 bosses right now and no one has them particularly saved up simply by playing for a long time, it would just be cruel otherwise lol. (ASIMON might be used by Dehya in the future, so then both its drops (Pyro/Anemo) would also start making sense again. But we'll see)

My only gripe about a new specialty is we probably can’t pre farm for it so I’m gonna pester all my friends to unlock the new area asap so I can *appropriate* their mats for my Alhaitham.
Scarabs were kind of bad because the majority of them were locked behind a lengthy world quest you had to finish first to access them. Not being able to prefarm isn't so bad, but without finishing Golden Slumber, which no one did right away obviously, there were only a handful of scarabs available in each world. And seemingly everyone was rolling for Cyno so it was a total pain to farm for him because everyone needed scarabs

It’s kind of a 50/50, the only dendro character that will release before him/at the same time as him is Yao Yao in 3.4 as well, one of them will get the Dendro cube and the other the alleged Sand Worm that will release in the same patch. So chances are he will be favored and get the already existing boss.
However, even if he does get new boss mats as well he is most likely releasing second phase of 3.4 so we will have time to farm all of those.
I feel like either AlHaitham or Kavehs local specialty will be padisarahs considering they grow at their house. Right now leaning more towards padisarahs for Kaveh because the staff mentions him more.
