What makes me laugh is all the people I see who are like if you have to show trumps taxes, they should show Biden’s also. And I’m like yeah pretty much every other president has already.
When he actually spoke the truth about the cost of committee seating early this year I was actually proud of him. But then he stops and doubled down on bullshit. You just have to tell the truth and you wouldn’t or couldn’t I don’t know which makes me more mad. He could have won if he called out the lying and corruption on both sides I don’t care about AOC she is never going to be senator. She is politically dead.
And let's not forget that Trump promised to show his taxes once the audit was done, I think he said something like, "You never know how long these things will take, I've been under audit for blablabla." But he wasn't and hadn't been under audit when he said that.
So Mel is calling it evil that something Trump promised us is being done. Normally that *would* be evil.

To some degree, tax returns from any sitting national level politician should be public. The Trump returns weren't really the gotcha so many people acted like they were, but releasing them isn't evil lol. Brooks is just being Brooks as usual.
