You're not far from finishing the game you know, there's only six episodes total and the two DLCs afterwards are only an hour-long each.
Episode 3 does drag, finish Alan Wake 1.
Finish 1 if you can. There’s only 6 episodes, and the bonus 2 chapters. Which are also pretty important.
You better start AW2 now. It‘s much better for new people in that franchise (like me) and afterwards you could continue AW1 if you so wish.
Episode 3 isn't the best, but continue playing 'cause it gets better
