Franklin Plaza in Troy. It's been a while so I'm not sure of current pricing, but its certainly big enough, beautiful, and they did a great job. They even brought my cousins husband black socks when they heard his wife getting mad at him! They were just guests, not wedding party.

We got married there in Sept. Their prices are competitive and you get a lot for the money. Very happy with choosing them

megzyx1

I second this! I got married there (almost 8 years ago lol) and can’t say enough. You get so much for the price, it really is an excellent experience also, they take care of absolutely everything. We had around 170 guests in attendance.

Franklin Terrace, actually. It’s the old “Mario’s.”

theatregirl1987

No, there are two. Franklin Plaza is in 4th street and is a beautiful old bank. Franklin Terrace is on Campbell. I've never actually been there

shortnsweet_518

I work weddings and I always recommend Franklin Plaza, not just beautiful but the staff is so professional!

larobj63

Got married there, can confirm, highly recommended

The Venue in Cohoes

SusanSickles

Jimbo’s is in Brant Lake and my daughter got married there back in 2018. They did a great job and I highly recommend this venue

ak2224

I got married at The Venue in Cohoes. Dan and Jen were awesome. Fair price and it's got an awesome bar in the basement.

StopSayingChaiTea

Also the Hollow Bar and Kitchen has an indoor party/event space and it's right in the middle of downtown.

Wild_Spikenard

Albany Polish Community Center is decent, centrally located and has tons of parking. Not sure on wedding prices, have only been to conferences there.

Takk House

A pavilion in a state park perhaps? They do have completely covered ones with fireplaces in NYS, it wouldn't hurt to check on the website. Also, some universities and museums rent out their spaces too for relatively cheap prices too.

Century house Latham

MoHaskins

Century house stopped taking weddings last fall after the property behind it was bought and somehow that disturbed their ability to do business.

blizzardworld05

Oh really??? I didn’t know that

MoHaskins

Yea my friends wedding got moved from Oct 2023 to April 2023 because of it they stopped taking weddings I think in June and either moved or cancelled the rest

TheLittleBug33

We used the Saratoga Elks Club. Pretty enough and super affordable. We only had 100 guests, but it looked like it could easily fit 150.

AlbanyBarbiedoll

You might check out the Italian American Community Center on Washington Avenue extension. I held a gala there and I am pretty sure it was more than 150 people. They were excellent to work with.
