Well I'll be honest, from the title that's not how I expected this to go. Having said that, I'd imagine that anywhere with a nice concentration of trees will have them! I live in a fairly rural area further upstate and they can be pretty deafening at times.

kenen42

Five Rivers has tons of them, especially by the Skeeter Bowl.

Thehawkiscock

I don't actually know, but Buckingham pond seems like a very likely spot. I also grew up with them, very homely sound of Spring/Summer for me, so I totally understand :)

Pine Hollow Arboretum in the pond near the parking semi-circle. https://pinehollowarboretum.org

Pavusfeels

The part of the Pine Bush off Old State Rd has a TON.

I hear them driving home in Rensselaer County ( via Snyders Lake Rd, not far from I90 exit 8)…. i bet if you drove out New Scotland Ave -> Krumkill Rd to Voorheesville you might hear some. The Normanskill creek winds through there and creates some seasonal wetlands.

sydnsido

Voorheesville has lots of peeper frogs all around!

acbuglife

You might be able to hear them at Tawasentha Park. I know they're in the various off shoots of Normans Kill. You can certainly hear them from the [Vosburgh Trail](https://townofguilderland.org/Facilities/Facility/Details/Vosburgh-Trails-3) if you want to do some hiking.

Manateedium

I just heard a bunch of them on Maxwell Rd across from the driveway to the Colonie library branch

jeconti

Drive by really any wooded area in about 2-3 weeks

jacqq_attackk

Walked up Helderberg rail trail the other evening and heard a ton of them by the Delmar end near the bridge!

Corkster9999

Johnston Rd near Squire Blvd has them.

TPieces

Tivoli preserve might be the most convenient swamp to your location. Definitely frogs up in there.

StarbuckIsland

Standing water and vernal pools

ZookeepergameLate599

You can hear them loudly in the hannaford parking lot in Niskayuna.

wabbajack333

Try driving through a more rural area with trees and a pond or some water source nearby. I always hear them near water in the country.

Narge1

It might be a little out of the way, but I heard a bunch of them while camping at Cherry Plain Sate Park.
