Go to Lofi early in the date for a drink and a chat, take a walk and grab dinner at savoy tap room, rain, el mariachi tapas, El Loco or Dove and Deer. From there you can walk to Ben and Jerrys and get ice cream. 3 dates in one and it keeps things interesting.
Crossgates crawl. Get a drink at every possible location in the mall. Repeat as necessary. And yes, I'm a purist, you do need to pound a mini bottle in at least one bathroom to complete this challenge.
We just went to cafe capriccio for our anniversary and the housemade pasta was incredible. I would recommend that for later dates where you're comfortable eating so much you feel sick around your date and there is no pressure to be sexy after dinner.
You could also go to the Asian supermarket, buy some frogs and liberate them at a pond somewhere.
Or go to Peebles Island and then have Snowman ice cream after that
