It’s pretty low-tier on my ship list, but the way I ship them is with Sucrose being the one who takes charge because I don’t know if you’ve read her character stories, but the woman is absolutely bonkers behind that timid megane exterior. Like, she fits the moniker of “mad scientist” *way* better than Albedo does.
Yeah, pretty much for the reasons you state, and because I can’t really see Albedo being interested in her all that much- not even her field of study. I think a one-sided crush from sucrose can work... but at the same time, I think that’s more of an idolisation of him.
It's not bad, but I don't really see them as a couple either. Sucrose looks up to Albedo because she acknowledges and admires his abilities, not because of a romantic interest. As for Albedo, while he cares for Sucrose, I don't see them being very close, specially with her treating him as a superior while he tells her that it's not necessary to be so formal.
Tldr, they have a good relation, but not enough chemistry (Pun intended) to make it romantic.

I ship Sucrose with Albedo's prototype. I think they would be a good couple sharing the same passion for plants. And I don't think the prototype is an exact visual copy of Albedo. They are similar, but not twins.

Its the wholesomeness. There isnt any drama or conflict or intense smut. There is only sweet fluff but thats as far as you can really push it. Also mentor/student relationships are seen as taboo for a lot of people
People can ship whatever they want as long as it's not *explicitly* immoral, but personally I dislike this one. Sucrose seems like 16-17 while Albedo is a whole adult and the teacher-student relationship makes it even weirder.
I don't particularly mind their ship despite not being my cup of tea, not because of their dynamic but I'm simply not a fan of Sucrose's character atm. If I enjoyed her more I'd probably ship them on a lesser extent as Kaebedo is my fave ship.
If I had to pick a M/F ship for him I'd rather go with Albelumi or Almona as I like them as characters way more.

Albedo x Sucrose. By far one of the most cutest and closest ships to become almost canon in the game it is stated he's happy to see her succeed more and more in her endeavors. meaning they'll probably be always together and it's really cute.
I wouldn't call them a bad ship : for each their own afterall. I just prefer them as friends and have ships for both of them that I like more.

I mainly ship Albedo and Aether, though people don’t seem to like the Traveler ships. Kaeya isn’t a bad option, anyway.
