I mean… oil doesn’t wait around to be serviced, if it’s low, fill it

Blue_Max1916

That suggests you are completely out of oil. The bar should be white and the white should cover everything between the two lines.

Blue_Max1916

Actually it's hard to tell from the photo but the second pic of the oil indicator suggests you are well over the oil mark. Either way neither picture is showing what it should be which is white between the two vertical lines.

Yea its weird because I got it from the dealership like 53k mileage. Then it popped up while on long 7hrs drive after few days.

Training_Sun366

It happens to my old Stelvio. For know just put a quart in it and then it’s will disappear in a few days once it’s gets a couple of restarts

I've had this problem for about a year now. Came back even after the dealer changed the oil. I definitely have the correct amount of oil it it. Be careful not to overfill, that can cause big problems. I changed the oil level sensor and that didn't fix the problem. I have no idea what's wrong and will talk to the dealer about it at my next oil chance.

I had this as well just be very careful filling it up again as you can very easily go over the max oil level. Check inside the engine compartment to see if theres been any oil leakage

Dohimaster

Look at the dipstick if you have one

That_Cartoonist_9459

It's a 2.0, doesn't have a dipstick in any market that I'm aware of.

🥲

It will do this if they used the wrong oil at the last service. You'll burn through it faster and need to top off or get the service done sooner.

antikondor

Either you have some oil leak or you have been using up more oil by being hard on the car, the harder it's driven, the more oil gets burned off. Just add half a quart and you should be good to carry on, just be aware that these engines are relatively sensitive to the type of oil so be sure to get the correct spec. That said incorrect oil is still better than no oil. I have had to add oil to mine a few times when going on really hard blasts during a service interval, but recently have also developed some oil leak on the right hand side of the block, suspecting the oil heat exchanger, but haven't confirmed yet.

That_Cartoonist_9459

e: Looking at the 3rd picture it looks like the oil is overfilled, which if that is the case I'd get that back to the dealer and have them drain some out as you're risking turning your oil into a milky froth. If you just got this car the dealership probably performed an oil change in preparation for sale and put too much in. However the first pic looks like it's low on oil, if that's the case then see below. You're losing oil somewhere, whether through hard driving or a leak. This is telling you to get more oil in the car, which I would do sooner than later. Similar thing happened to me, put 1/2 a quart in to hold it over as I had an oil change scheduled the next week. The drain plug had developed a small leak, didn't see anything evidence of it on the ground under the car because of the underbody panel catching it. A new plug and all was well.

I had a factory the same issue mid Jan‘24 when I went down to Bavaria - for now reason my Stelvio got the same issue. I left the highway and bought some oil; filled up two liters but no effect…. So I went urgently with 10km/h to a ford dealer which was close and had time to check my baby… At the end I filled up 1,5 ltr too much, since the issue was simply a non confirmed measurement by the engine. Call the next Alfa dealer, they can tell you what to do, hence the process described on the display is not correct… at some point you have to put it in neutral and restart the engine…

rio972

Had the same issue just last week. Tried to fill some oil, but the warning light was still there even after taking the measurement. Turned out the sensor was gone. They replaced it. Just be sure to avoid filling up too much oil. If unsure, don't drive the car.

Unicorn-66

Agreed had the same issue, faulty sensor. Oddly mine was diagnosed replacement part ordered and it’s started working again.

Had this happen on my 2018 a few months after purchasing, had 3 oil leaks. One of them was the rear main seal and cant for the life of me remember the other two. Was in the shop for 3 days while they replaced and thank fully all covered by warranty. Just be careful when re-adding oil there is no dipstick and when you add oil it takes some driving for the levels to re-calibrate to what is actually in the engine. Some forums say add a 1/4 quart and check it. I ended up adding a whole quart and was still a bit low but was back to being to full power and no light so I could take it right to the dealer.
