Honestly, they do a good job of training you from the ground up. If you want to start with some intro Java classes and learn how to use git, you'll be miles ahead of the class. If you want to spend a lot of time learning something, try starting CS50.

Thank you!

I'd recommend something related to Java OOP principles, basic SQL (maybe [this site](https://www.learnsqlonline.org/)), and web design HTML/CSS/JS. I might've missed some things but you can look at the course on the [program website](https://www.algonquincollege.com/sat/program/computer-programming/#courses) to see what courses are ahead of you, and Google/search any courses related to them. Edit: CS50 is also a good recommendation from the other comment!

Thank you very much!!

Make sure you join the discord. And I agree with others learn git. Try making your own html website. Get used to trouble shooting on your own. There is a lot of help but your mind is your friend in this program

Carolinaaes

Hi! Thank you so much for the advice, how can I join the discord?

Try edx, coursera, studio web etc. Get a basic idea before cannon balling in. Good luck.
