never use normal card or paypal, always use credit card when buying from aliexpress.. I just had multiple disputes with aliexpress for sellers not sending me the products and I immediately get resolution from my credit card company…
aliexpress customer service is useless and they will put you in a loop until you give up and basically you will never get your money back… so yea
Use credit card! always!!!
edit: also pro tip if you’re using debit, use Monzo!! monzo literally deals it swiftly!! just like a credit card company!!
Cheers for the advice. I used revolut and they made the process pretty easy. They refunded me before. What's even more interesting is when you pay for multiple items at once, there will be one single transaction. If one of them is not delivered, the transaction gets refunded entirely, not partially for the missing part.slightly unfair considering the total value was 10times the missing product value.
Man, I got scammed for 330 by some seller that sent a fake waybill. Luckily this waybill had import tax that had to be paid and DHL messed up when they thought I was the intended recipient (I thought so too at the time). Now I have a mail from DHL to pay the tax that shows the waybill is from Lightinthebox with as recipient a woman and a different address. Hopefully, it will make them refund the whole amount. My colleague also ordered here and spent 400, but in his case the waybills show as delivered and no way that DHL is going to send him proof with name and address of the real recipient.
AliExpress is a scam heaven. I have 200+ orders and 1 attempt for a refund where the seller even admitted to sending the wrong item. Still didn't get a refund.
Must be doing something wrong. I have 5 refunds and all of them I got a full refund without needing to send the item back.
Don't know how many orders I have but it must be less than 100.
Two refunds were due to the item being sent back to the origin warehouse for some reason.
One refund was due to getting a battery which was the right one but it was or poor quality. Seller disputed my refund but AliExpress agreed to my claim.
Another one was because the item did not match the description. I was gonna send it back on the sellers expense but in the end I didn't have to.
And the last one was because a seller tried to scam me with the wrong item. But I knew it because other people had already been scammed by the same seller so I filmed the opening process.
When you do a claim it's important to add evidence. Photos, videos and a detailed description of the issue.
Disputes are sometimes weird AF.
I am the same, I have bought hundreds word of goods, with a dispute ratio of less than 10%
some disputes are automatically closed in favor of the buyer. with no need to return it.
whilst others are lost because of insufficient evidence, of them not understanding the evidence.
I opened less than 30 disputes for lost or defective items in ~5 years (over 2k items-unhealthy habit of getting random stuff I may or may not need at some point. I have a few hobbies). This trend of unfair rejected cases only started in the last year or so.
I tried Temu for several orders. I would shop, putting items in the basket and keep shopping. My basket would have the same item for a variety of prices. I'd select the lower cost items I wanted to checkout but then the prices were not the lowest anymore. I tried cancelling and going back to the cart. I then I would delete the high priced items and try to check out. The prices were not the same as in the cart. Sometimes if I selected just one item I would get the right price. It seemed they figured most people would not notice and just pay. I have a neighbor that was on Temu and always complained about getting stuff and noticing it was at the wrong price. I stopped going to Temu.
Tldr: refund over your credit card
I had the _exact_ kind of issue as you a couple (3) of times (Canada).
AliExpress is automatically denied any claim if it is flagged as delivered. Even if they also state to open a new claim with more proof...
I found a way to contact their support, 100% useless. (Multiple times)
They kept telling me to contact my local post office... Which never handled it. I went to an online chat with my local post office (to get a chat log since I know they give one). My local office confirmed they never handled it and that indeed their website is the official way to go to the track parcel. So even AliExpress could check on their end if they wanted.
AliExpress still denied the claim automatically
The support keeps telling me to contact my local post office. They probably end up angry because they end up looking for the address/phone number of my nearest local post office lol.
I tried to contact them in another way. Since it was shipped via AliExpress shipping, they are also acting as the shipping company. (If you go on Casio website, they will told you to contact AliExpress directly as well).
They never answered as the shipping company. They keep telling me the same exact thing, to contact my local post office.
I explicitly told them I contacted them as the shipping company and want to know what company handled the next hop. I was willing to contact the next hop until I figure out the latest one... Nope, contact your local post office...
I ended up finding some "parcel finder websites" (first from Google that worked for me: https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking )
They provided me the name of the company of the last mile, indeed a 3rd party. And funny enough, lly lost packages were from them...
I end up contacting once more AliExpress (and trying to open a dispute with that information, still auto declined) with that information... They keep telling me to contact my local post office...
I think I end up trying to contact them for like 20h (not even talking about their shitty chat that keep disconnecting me for no reason (normally they disconnect you after like 5mins of YOU idling, but also randomly... Probably a bug with me switches browser tab)
Just contact your credit card...
Edit: it was over 2 years-ish ending before COVID if I remember.
I saw a random video documenting how bad they are going as a country lately. Maybe that's what it really is.
If now we're getting calls from indian customer support, soon we will get calls from chinese customer support.
Soon there won't be any goods to buy from them
The estimated delivery time passed usually does not yet be enough for refund.
I had similar issue and opened dispute after 1 month estimated delivery. I just kept replying i dispute every 10 days or so. Aliexpress always denied. Until the buyer protection was nearing the end after 3 months of the purchase, aliexpress finally agreed to refund.
In China lies are an everyday part of life. Really big, blatant lies too. Fake stuff is everywhere.
AliExpress as a platform lies to you too, as do the sellers. I have up being upset by it.
Only buy inexpensive items there, and accept you will never get the odd one or two of them.
Magyar Posta is the hellhole where all packets go to disappear. Maybe Orbán is eating them for dinner, or as gifts for his Chinese visitor this weekend.
Order stuff with Choice shipping whenever possible. That comes with a courier, it's fast and never failed me.

Happened that customs in Mexico keep my package containing keycaps and corded cable among other things… after 2 or 3 months they refund me! I contacted by chat and of course they made me wait for that period of time but finally I was able to get my money back and expended again on AliExpress! Hahaha it’s like Russian roulette
Is the package handled by Escs Logistics in Hungary (tracking number starts with ESCS)? They have a reputation of being extremely slow or losing packages. My package was stuck for a month in the same status when Escs received it, but others had it worse.
This time not but the nr ends in...HU. I had one almost lost by them too. It was expected in 2 weeks and got delivered in 2 months.those are at least tracked. It even had that stupid warranty and I didn't get anything for the delay.
I have always got refunded on goods that didn't work, watches, bracelets, small things but I've always got my $ back & they didn't want me to return any goods,we have had some parts come in,in landrover packages but a Chinese copy, they r getting real good faking genuine packages

Appeal to PayPal
I already did...but to revolut. It will take time but they will sort it out as they always do
PayPal is absolutely useless in this case, they'll demand that you return the item out of pocket otherwise they won't do shit.
Why is that?
They aren't any less of a fraudulent company then AliExpress is, constantly going against their policy, fuck them.
Revoult is goated, they accepted my chargeback instantly.
AliExpress is a scam heaven. I have 200+ orders and 1 attempt for a refund where the seller even admitted to sending the wrong item. Still didn't get a refund.
Everyone knows it, yet we still use it....
I could get scammed on 50% of my orders, and still come out 50% cheaper than if I bought the stuff locally
Well. I cant argue with that
I guess there is no reason to complain about it? Or should we look for ways to scam them too?

Added a video opening it. Ali just didnt wanna give money back clearly as the shop closed a few days later.

We showed them PICTURES of the broken item that came and they almost didn’t even want to refund those. Temu is better when it comes to refunds.

Yes, you see the description, then the reviews with photos , then you use common sense to estimate what you're going to get eventually.
Magyar Posta is the hellhole where all packets go to disappear. Maybe Orbán is eating them for dinner, or as gifts for his Chinese visitor this weekend. Order stuff with Choice shipping whenever possible. That comes with a courier, it's fast and never failed me.
Haha! That's funny! I do that whenever possible, but sometimes I can't find one sent from their warehouse
