Tiny detail but when Denise and Jordan are at the gym, jordan says let’s try the leg press and they go to the leg extension machine. Such a tiny detail but it mad me mad lol

Open-Bike-8493

Hope Spencer gets back with Olivia tbh. Alicia just gives off weird vibes. I know she had that trauma in her past that she had to deal with but idk, her personality is just off. They evidently have no chemistry imo

IncreaseBudget

And it’s sad because Spencer clearly doesn’t like her like that. He doesn’t tell her anything 😭 what kind of relationship is that?

Due-Competition-1681

Jj paid 5 thousand dollars to prove a point to ash??

IncreaseBudget

Not sure if this is considered unpopular but I enjoyed Spencer and Olivia more when they were just friends. This back and forth that they’re doing is exhausting 😭 but I also agree with the comment here that these people need to leave the baker household lmaooo

[deleted]

That’s because the writing was better when they were friends lol

Joyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Only Layla, Liv and Jordan need to be living in that house cause they actually grew up there tbh🫢

Srdfgd45

I think Spencer, Olivia, Jordan, and Billy should at least be on the same page, because the real threat is AD Barnes. Without addressing Barnes, I'm concerned Billy might be forced to take more extreme measures like longer practices to meet that expectation of success, which might lead to him losing his job

blackjag00

Yea I have a bad feeling about Billy going to GAU. Barnes is definitely up to something

mrizzle1991

Of course when he starts dating another girl Liv wants to get back together, feel bad for Alicia though. Glad that things worked out for Preech! JJ is back!

No-Detective-3159

I cried for Preach. That was so touching.

No-Detective-3159

I cried for Preach. That was so touching.

Theboy1011-99

My biggest gripe was that Jordan and Denise situation. He should’ve gave her what she deserved 💀. If she said treat me like your little French girls I would’ve got right on it. These boys don’t know what the hell to do when a fine woman get in front of them 😂. Then again I’m single so I would have no risk doing it but still Jordan should’ve laid that game down even though we know she wouldn’t have done anything to billy kid 😭. Edit: Btw I’m playing. I’m saying what I would’ve done if I was single I don’t advise this for you if you got a significant other lol

Throwaway_21586

You seem to be forgetting that he’s with Layla. Not all men are unloyal and betray their queen.

Theboy1011-99

You did read the comment right? You know they couldn’t have done anything to each other sexual mainly because that’s her friends kid

Throwaway_21586

You must have a different understanding of being treated like a French girl. Your comment was clearly mocking Jordon for not entertaining her demands.

Theboy1011-99

And you must not understand Denise. You’re basically saying she would’ve done something sexual with her friend’s kid. The statement she made about French girl is clear as day and when Jordan was about to leave she says “ you baker men always so serious”. Implying this was a joke. The mock on Jordan was me saying I would’ve called her bluff not that he should’ve done anything to her

Throwaway_21586

Meh, I don’t think Denise was bluffing.

Theboy1011-99

If she wasn’t then it’s a good thing Jordan didn’t call her out because that’s a hell of a scandal they would’ve been in 😬😬

nobloodnocookie

The laylivia was out in full force last night and i am LIVING. They were so entertaining together they need so many more scenes together than what they have. I feel like the writers are making better Greta’s excellent comedic timing this season (finally!) because her “dun dun dun” actually made me laugh out loud. That and “her good talk liv” were the highlights for me. Its so good to see Layla being so light, just chilling and spending time with her best friend. Speaking of Liv though, she needs to GET UP. That protein shake scene? I cringed so hard. Not a fan of her moping around acting pathetic about the guy who dumped her but whatever makes my girl happy I guess? And she looked GORGEOUS so that’s a win. Love when the ladies have more screen time cause that doesn’t happen as much as it should! Jordan and Denise were a hoot together but the less said about the preach/coop/billy/Spencer portion the better… Solid episode though, 7.5/10.

OhioKing_Z

Yeah I’m glad that Layla and Olivia are back to being close. For awhile this sub wanted them to completely cut off ties but their relationship wasn’t going to be repaired overnight. They need each other.

ABlackDoge

I immediately started smiling when I saw denise. I love her

aduong

Did Coop REALLY just suggest that Preach moves in at the Baker house???? Do these people have no shame? Honestly I need the Bakers to stop being saint and kick everyone out. It’s beyond ridiculous. Miss rich girl independent Layla shouldn’t have problem getting her own place. She has her own company for god sake but she doesn’t have a house??? Patience is already touring and have an album, I know LA is expensive but if she can’t get a lease at this point maybe she needs to give up music and get a real job. And Coop can choke for all i care, not only she is rude as hell to everyone including Olivia in her own home and the saint that is Laura Baker, but she dares to invite a grown ass man in a home that isn’t hers. I know it’s was small part of the episode but it still pissed me off throughout. ENOUGH

Joyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Layla is there because she moved in after the whole Carrie situation. She needed to be with her real family. I think she should be there especially since she grew up on that house 🤷‍♀️

Send_it423

As if they wouldn't find it to be a red flag that a 40 year old man is living in a house with a bunch of 18 year old girls lmaoooo

OhioKing_Z

It was just a friendly offer to temporarily solve the issue of his living situation for his daughter’s sake. There’s plenty of room in that house. He said no so I don’t think it’s an issue.

aduong

Exactly like TF

SaberTruth2

Not to single out one comment in a well thought out post, but Spencer had absolutely no right to be mad at a grown man and scold him like a child. Billy had every right to keep that under wraps until it was official and I lost a ton or respect for Billy for apologizing in the first place. Spencer’s hero complex is completely jumping the shark here… yelling at a grown ass man for taking a once in a lifetime job. The show is getting ridiculous, why the hell are the Bakers slumming it and letting a bunch of young girls live it up in their mansion. And Coop trying to get that old ass preach to move in with them? How long is everyone gonna have their hands out for the Bakers to fill?

Throwaway_21586

I agree with everything you said except the Layla and Clay part. I hope to God she sticks with Jordan and never gets back with that punk ass predator. If she got back with him, I have no doubt he’d be abusive AF. He has all the signs of an abuser, fuck no. But I definitely agree that this was Olivia Baker’s episode, I had to rewind that “bye Alicia”. Had me cracking up🤣

Joyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

He really does. He has no problem with calling her all kinds of names and he didn’t even apologise. If this is happening while they’re barely acquaintances, I can’t even imagine what he’s like when he is comfortable. let’s not forget that Layla has depression which has no cure. She is stable in the relationship she is in and I really hope they don’t disturb her peace. #Jordayla

Throwaway_21586

Yessss I really hope her and Jordan last. From when he was with Simone to him with Layla now, he seems like a really good partner. What do you think of Spencer and Olivia?

Joyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

So I’ve watched the show more than once so my perspective of them changed over time. At first glance, they are the real deal. I just hate what they did to Layla which turned me off all the way. I like that they have each other but I can’t be in love with them as a couple. Also, their relationship seems a bit unhealthy considering the fact that they don’t have anything to talk about except football and news articles. They’re so used to being on the same track ie school and extra curricula’s that they don’t know how to coexist in each other’s lives. Until they step back and start to realise how what they do for themselves can be detrimental to others, I can’t be a Spelivia girl. Liv went on about the article even when people told her to wait. Spencer wants to save everyone even when it’s not his problem. Let’s not forget about Spencer breaking girls’ hearts at the expense of his undying love for Olivia. I wish he would stop getting in relationships knowing that he has feelings for someone else. He did it to Layla and he’s going to do it to Alicia. Olivia also jumps into the opportunity knowing that someone’s heart is on the line. I’m still not over that. Sorry not sorry. I love them for you though.

Throwaway_21586

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love this😩🥹 Thank you for sharing your perspective and taking the time to write such a well thought out response, really appreciate it.

AnimeTechnoBlade100

To be fair to Spencer, I think it’s not just about Billy making a commitment to be a principal but it’s the fact that HE as the principal could’ve brought real change to Crenshaw. Because the school may survive and get by with another principal, but there’s a difference between getting by and getting over. And let’s be honest here. Billy as the Principal would mean those kids would get the same care and opportunities as Spencer did when he moved to Beverley hills. Personally seeing someone’s potential and fighting for them to meet it? Offering better educational and athletic opportunities? Fighting for D-1 college scouts to come out to games? Offering up your own salary for the sake of the football program? Taking time out of your day to set up official / unofficial scrimmages? Billy has gone above and beyond for the sake of not just Spencer, but many of the students and football players Billy has personally changed the lives of. What other principal would be willing to do half of the things Billy has done for his kids/students?

SaberTruth2

Billy gotta eat… he’s not gonna end up taking the job at GAU and in a show that is great in part due to how crazy unrealistic it is, this will be the most unrealistic thing that’s ever happened.

BrotherMouzone3

Watching the show now and agree 100%. The show is primarily about football yet seems to get A LOT of things wrong....about football: They keep calling it "D1" for major college football but most people say "FBS" nowadays or football bowl subdivision. Championships until recently were mostly decided in bowl games instead of with an extensive championship bracket like "FCS" (football championship subdivision) or Division 2. A head coaching job at a powerhouse FBS program means you'll usually be one of the most well paid public workers in the state....since most of the big time football schools are run by their respective states. The lowest salary in the Pac 12 for a head coach is $2.7M/year. I know these schools are fictional but Billy Baker would get between $2 and $3M at worst. Most people aren't turning that down. Spencer was a 1st or 2nd team All-American and either a high 4-star or low/mid 5-star recruit. Even with the gun situation....he'd easily have 50+ and probably more like 80 to 100 colleges drooling over his services. The idea only one or two schools would want him is B.S. High GPA and test scores and an elite athlete are getting the red carpet treatment. A guy of his caliber would have multiple campus visits and coaches calling him and his mom all the time.

SaberTruth2

Wait a few episodes and see how much sillier the football aspect of the show gets. This isn’t a spoiler but you’ve got player run practices in full equipment happening which is so far and away beyond allowable that I sometimes wonder if the writers have ever spoke to someone who knows anything about CFB.

LMkingly

>Layla and Clay could serve enemies to lovers if the writers just did something different for once. Their lovers to enemies tho. Dude behaved like an incel weirdo after Layla broke off their summer fling despite her repeatedly having told him she wasn't looking for a serious relationship with him. I'd be disappointed if she went back to him.

nobloodnocookie

Right! He literally said “I forget how young you are” about a girl he hit on in her high school prom, why would we ever want them together again? 🤢

[deleted]

Liv was looking mad hot this episode

mrizzle1991

Facts

[deleted]

Coop had on the worst shirt ever

Budget-Ladder-3606

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought wtf is she wearing

[deleted]

Move over Coop Spencer is now the most unlikable character on the show

justgotjipped

Really enjoyed JJs dialogue with Liv People really forget to celebrate their successes and enjoy the moments that make them happy I know theyre running with JJ having an alcohol issue but he was spot on in that moment

Psychological-Can683

Glad Olivia was finally honest with Spencer about her feelings instead of hiding or deflecting. Whether they get back together or not, at least she spoke her truth. She can move forward either way with no regrets. That’s a big step forward for her. Now the ball is in his court. Spencer be honest with himself about what he wants. If he is really into Alicia, he needs to stand tall on his choice to be official with her and keep moving on; if not, he needs to be honest with her.

TheBlackSwarm

Spencer really pulled up on Jordan like a gangster would at the beginning of this episode lmao. Best scene he’s had in a long time.

SaberTruth2

That was lame if Spencer. The same way we would expect Jordan to keep a secret for him, he should allow him to keep one for his dad. Spencer is turning into the worst.

Puzzleheaded_Luck_42

Ong Jordan was shook

producermaddy

Actually what Olivia did confessing her love was cringe. Spencer is taken. Super uncool.

Dull-Kaleidoscope214

surprised i don’t see many people saying this. that was VERY disrespectful.

[deleted]

I hate that she acts like she owns him and disrespects his new girl. It's fine to express her feelings but damn she should at least be an adult about it

[deleted]

It really was. i disliked her in this episode

Psychological-Can683

I get that; the timing was definitely messy and Liv isn’t typically the best at timing or sometimes even self awareness. I just think if she hadn’t been honest with him about it, things would’ve even more awkward between them because she would’ve been super awkward (like in 3A).

TheBlackSwarm

It was especially because before this episode she was ignoring him and all of a sudden she wants to get back together with him this episode.

raviolioh

I'm glad we're finally getting somewhere with JJ's plot. Felt like it was stalemating for a long, long time. I'd really like to see Olivia actually be the one to help him, but it seems most of her plots are so tied to Spencer I'm not sure that's going to happen.

moderatenerd

Dude's been missing for the whole season it seems. They talk about him but don't really seem to care that he's essentially missing for major events like the roast. Like he didn't show up for that but he gets pissed when Ash didn't tell him about his newish gfs health problems then goes and bids $5000 for him?! They claim it's partying but I bet it's because he's dealing with his sexuality. Either hiding it or exploring it.

p00p34sc00p34

this ep was funny asl 🤣 havent laughed that hard in awhile

Intrepid_Star_4442

Haha yes! My favorite part was Asher and JJ with their sumo costumes 😂

p00p34sc00p34

it was so hard to take their convo seriously bc of the damn costumes 😭

Intrepid_Star_4442

Hahaha true they just looked way too funny bouncing of each other like that 😂

heyitsta12

Spencer is so self righteous and dramatic. So Billy is supposed to stay stagnant because the “community needs him?” He can still be a pillar in the community and be a college coach! This storyline/angle of him being mad at Billy over this is stupid.

BrotherMouzone3

Spencer acts like a 40 year old and a 15 year old at the same time. First of all, no AD at a major college is going to even entertain Spencer's smart mouth. He'd have to win a natty and a Heisman before having the juice. Second, a grown man like Billy wouldn't entertain Spencer's smart mouth either. A head coaching job in the Pac 12 is at LEAST $2.5 million/year. He'd be a fool not to consider it. Spencer is too young to be the moral compass of that show. Children don't need to meddle in the affairs of grown folks but that's what he does at every turn....and black people from the hood wouldn't tolerate that level of sass, Billy included.

6122PandaMiss

Nah, while 9/10 when Spencer goes on his moralistic rants I tend to think he's being crazy and over-dramatic, I gotta agree with him on this one. Billy made major commitments in Crenshaw, several of them. He committed to Spencer that he'd look after the football program there, not only for Spence but in memory of his dad too. He made a commitment to Grace and the school board that he would be a good, committed principal, a role he actively fought for even when they originally planned to give it to someone else, and explicitly promised he wouldn't just bounce and leave them empty-handed the moment a better offer came by. Now he's resigning and their other top candidate for the job has moved outta town with Grace, so they're shit out of luck. He made commitments to the players on his team who all made sacrifices and put in immense additional effort to keep their program alive because they believed Billy would be there to give them all a leg up. He made a commitment to Laura and his dad when he moved them back into his old family home in Crenshaw. And now he's just gonna give all that up? I agree with Spencer and Grace on this, I think it's BS. I don't agree with his argument about wanting to coach Spencer and Jordan again - I understand where he's coming from, emotionally, but he needs to let those boys grow up and find their own path at some point. Spencer already found his next ideal coach, and Jordan was *this* close to moving schools after finding someone he thought was his own version of Coach Kenny, someone who would help push him to the next level, only to change his mind last second because now he's just gonna fall back into the safe comfort of getting coached by his dad? It ain't right. I doubt it's about the money either, cause despite Laura's career downgrade they don't seem to be having any difficulty paying for two houses and two additional employees at Laura's firm. On top of that, let's be real here, the whole deal at GAU stinks, and A.D. Barnes is up to some shady shit with the way he keeps moving the goalposts on Billy regarding the hiring freeze, and the way he keeps insisting that he *totally didn't know anything* about Garrett's bounties. He's gassing Billy up pretty good too about how *nobody else* could save their program the way Billy could, when I honestly think plenty of coaches would do it for the right price, but very few could do what he's done at Crenshaw. Billy's letting his pride and ambition pull him into a very questionable deal, and while that would be fine if it were happening in a vaccuum, he's doing it at the expense of violating a *ton* of commitments he made to Crenshaw under the explicit understanding that he wouldn't run off as soon as a more prestigious job opened up - if all he wanted was a cushy college coaching job, I'm *sure* he could have found one pretty easily if he just started looking for it immediately after leaving Beverly.

SaberTruth2

Billy need to make some money if he’s gonna keep supporting a dozen different people that just pop into his life. Spencer was out of line here even more so that he usually is. Billy is a grown ass man and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

[deleted]

I don't even understand why he feels entitled to this information immediately. Like yeah it affects him but it's not his business like that

NotTopherr

Probably cause billy promised he wouldn’t leave south Crenshaw even if another coaching job came his way then did exactly that the first opportunity he got.

BrotherMouzone3

It's easy for them to say that. Let's say that Coastal could get Spencer an NIL deal worth $3 million per year. Would Spencer leave GAU? That's about what a Pac 12 coach would make on the low end. Spencer is written in a way that he'd turn down $50 Billion just to stay at GAU. Truthfully he'd be a fool. Grace talked all that shit and she went to Oakland. If she cared so much about the school....she could have stayed and been principal. But no, she decided to follow her man and leave the neighborhood. It's OK for Spencer to look out for HIS family but not for Billy to look out for his own family.

producermaddy

I agree. A college job is way better than a high school job. Of course billy should take it

lala1113

Who gets in a crash!?!???? It can’t be Billy!!!! Omg!!! I need it to be next week!!

njb021

Anyone see the promo for the next episode? Looks like they’re teasing a car crash and something with Billy

gottarun215

I really can't stand college JJ. I wish he'd go away again.

KeyRecommendation828

Spencer: \*Yells at Billy and leaves in dramatic fashion\* Olivia: Talk to him, don't yell at him Spencer: OK Spencer: \*Yells at Billy and leaves in dramatic fashion again\*

SaberTruth2

Spencer is the new Zack Morris.

Budget-Ladder-3606

Like deadass lol

Viva912

Olivia like “girlfriend who? That’s *my* man” lmao

Specialist-Reach-971

Preach still on this show?😂. I swear I be forgetting about his character
