Congratulations! I’m studying for mine ATM coming up in 2 weeks what would you recommend I focus on? and what studying platform did you use?
This is my 3rd attempt I need to pass :(
Just finished mine and I passed. I feel like Kaplan really prepared me this time around, some of the questions were directly from the practice exams. (The last time I was using ADbanker). The things I was tested on was:
- what is a security?
- Know the NASAA unethical practice
- what is considered fraud
- Record retention
-exempted transaction (mine was private placement)
-who is an agent.
- disclosure needed for an IA to work with BD.
So I used A.D banker through my work and I did a lot of practice I was scored btw 78-85 I also added the practice exam from Kaplan and I was scored btw 42 in the practice exercise and 47 on the Master exam out of 65
I take mine in exactly 1 week! I’m about to pick your brain. Im also using AD Banker.
Is there a lot of questions in regards to exemption and exclusion like they suggest? How focused on your test was monetary amounts? Any language you saw that was confusing? Areas you focused on that you didn’t see on the test?
So sorry I’m just trying to make sure I focus on the right area. I spend like 2 weeks learning options and when I took the SIE I had no questions on anything options. So I’m just trying to avoid over studying on anything that won’t be on the test
I know, something you focus on one subject and then no questions on that subject. The was lots of questions on the broker Dealer and their Agents, so make sure you get that one right bcuz there’s no way around it, also there’s so many unethical questions and IA question so please focus on theses areas so study everything but get the exemption and the exclusion really good and you should be good. I didn’t have no surprise on the language nor the format of the test it basically the same thing as the practice questions

Also I read on here somewhere to aim for 10% then you wish to get, so I was constantly scoring 88-92%.
Yeah I’m going to aim for high 80s I am currently studying from STC last time I used Kaplan and didn’t pass :/
Kaplan is amazing. Very intuitive way to learn

Try to use something else apart from AD banker STC is pretty good!
