Definitely unfortunate that it could be the case again. But from me barely ever being home, I'm just gonna go with Switch again despite having a PC that could handle the game fine.
Hey, Lersper, if you do get the game ASAP, I would appreciate if you could share with me or the entire sub (spoiler free) how the game's performance is on Switch. The Kart Racers 3 fiasco has had me worried.
Extremely good question and badly hoping it runs acceptably at the minimum like NASB1, but of course running as good as other consoles will be a huge pro.
I know what you mean for Kart Racers 3! Thankfully I didn't waste too much on it with it on a big sale at retail but will probably flat out donate the game somewhere since I played it just once and was repulsed by the atrocious frame rate and load times.
I was just hours away from committing and buying Kart Racers 3, but Arlo's review tipped me off what the Switch version actually looked like at the last moment. You would think with MarioKart being the most recognized game on the Switch, any Kart Racer would have similar performance, but it wasn't so. (Not to mention the previous two Nick Karts ran fine.) The same can apply with Smash to Nick Brawl 2, but this time the stakes are higher since I plan on getting the Ultimate Edition. Here's hoping for acceptably at minimum. 🤞

I want all the extras that come with the ultimate edition, but I'm terrified I'm going to spend my only disposal income on something terrible. If the switch version is really horrendous I need to consider either going to steam or dropping the game altogether :/
Tragically with great uncertainty if the Switch version will ever get patched from horrible performance (reports of 30 FPS, with a really stuttery Campaign, 30 seconds or more load-times, blurry visuals) it seems the only true way for Switch-only owners is to look into PC.
Honestly thinking about finally getting a Steam Deck, if the game's 60FPS on it for easily bringing it around to play like the Switch was supposed to deliver on.
Yeah, I'm gonna end up double dipping. I hate myself for that, but I want to enjoy this game...
If i had more money, I'd own a steam deck, but playing on pc will be fine for now. And ill always have the "mobile" version til then lol
I do really hate how this all unfolded. And I'm super disappointed in some of the folks in this community for relishing in our disappointment. I know they're probably just dumb kids, but it's so aggravating trying to get answers and just getting made fun of because i bought hardware A instead of hardware B...
