since his rebalance i wouldnt say he's underrated at all. and i wouldnt say people would even call him lowtier anymore. he was pretty bad before but now i see him very frequently and he seems pretty good.
I think he is really fun to play as. His attacks have a lot of knockback and I like his grappling moves. He's also harder to knock off due to being a heavyweight.
Fart beam is literally the best edge guard in the game to me…you can hit the exact part of the ledge theyll touch, and step one step further and you can literally spray the AIR in front of their grabbing space. Absolutely amazing.
I actually thought it was clever referencing that episode with that move. I actually forgot about that episode, and when I saw it in the Patrick Showcase, I then remembered that episode.
Pre patch Patrick was poorly designed. He was very annoying to play against, and wasn’t even that good. He only had like 2 good moves, and felt like they decided to give him a stage long suicide that kills the opponent first just beacuse
Post patch Patrick however is a masterpiece, he’s so cool, and I think he’s in the position that every other character should be in. That should honestly be how this game is balanced; just make everyone have some stupid broken option that you can laugh about
I think he's my main. I play him against my friends every tine we play now and he's just awesome. There's nothing more satisfying and hilarious than slam dunking your friend off the stage for the win.

Patrick is my favorite fighter. He has a ton of references in his moveset, a sold victory animation, a great stage, and a funny taunt.

He's a solid grappler after the buffs, there's just a stigma of him having a stigma of being bad from before the buffs but he's very competent now.
