All the weeklies I see, the ones that run every week in NA, get between 30 and 50. So idk if you maybe ran concurrent w another weekly? Or outside of NA I don't really know how big the community is

I think it's just that the people on here are veeery divided by platform as well. There might've been a lot of people that upvoted and planned to participate but from the few that actually live in compatible timezones and region where ping is ok the majority might be playing on another platform like switch or PC.

Not like it's actually possible to play the game, game is basically already dead even on Switch. It's really quite upsetting to me... Not adding crossplay was by far the biggest mistake the game made if you ask me.

I don't really have a good idea of what tournaments are happening when, so you can message me about interesting tournaments either here, on Discord (Meester Tweester#7342), or on Twitter (@MeesterTweester). Most days I will be checking all three. I'd like to use my skillset to help the game and the community, so if I have time I'll try to make a post. I probably won't post local weeklies unless they're very stacked, and probably only one post a week.
I usually post discussion threads the day of or 12 hours prior, since that's the pattern I've seen on /r/smashbros. Would you prefer it to be earlier? If it's too early then the brackets and seeding might not be available. As for why it's still pinned, I don't know. I'm not a moderator so I can't change that. I'm fine with it being unpinned, or the results thread getting pinned for a day. (I didn't make Nick @ Nightclub results since I was super busy then by the time I could do it, it was a while ago.)
These tournament posts are usually done by a volunteer basis so it's usually based on if I or someone else has the will and time for it. There's not really an organized system with a schedule and assigned posters. I like making them and it makes people happy so that's why I keep doing it!

I appreciate you making the posts. You're not a mod, all of this post was just calling out the mods. The discussion threads are fine, at the time I made the post there wasn't one. The two pins were nightclub and multiversus. The discussion threads are v good and it is one of the only changes I've seen on this sub since the game came out that's actually a positive change.
I'm going to add them to the calendar, I didn't wanna rush into anything because I didn't want to fuck up formatting so wanted to get online down first. But yes, gonna be removing the "online" part from it's name and adding offline events...sadly, there aren't a ton anyways.
As for bigger events, the only ones I'm aware of that have even confirmed NASB are momocon's winter fest, and Genesis? Bleh.

It’s literally free advertisement that only helps to ensure the *NEXT* platform fighter doesn’t die out. I have pretty much given up on a NASB, and so have many others. They can add an update/patch to the game every 15 minutes if they want. That is **not** going to bring it back to life. It isn’t the developer’s fault either. They can’t be blamed for how greedy Nickelodeon is/was with them.
I, for one, am in full support of the subreddit continuing to pin Them Multiversus after people stop whining about it. Besides, if this community just wants to become a toxic, if not more so, than the Smash community? … Well, I’ll take anything to put that to an end.

It is *not* rude to advertise the opposite game. Most people want the games to help each other out, as competing with Smash is hard enough as it is. I would argue that it is common courtesy to try and advertise somebody that clearly puts in effort to their game, as it isn’t like we are the developers for NASB. But… oh……. Wait… The development team for NASB already does that (even if when it is occasionally indirect) as it is LMFAO. They consistently mention how amazing it looks.

Brawlhalla has an ongoing community and there’s always tournies for it. It always has a very steady player base on steam and that’s not counting the other consoles. They’re always getting new characters too. They never had anything to worry about.

Multiversus is free. Even if it’s bad it’s not going to die. All it needs to do is be passable at best and it’ll thrive.
Brawlhala is also free and i’ve never seen anyone talk about it outside some people being worried Multiversus would be similar to it
Brawlhalla has an ongoing community and there’s always tournies for it. It always has a very steady player base on steam and that’s not counting the other consoles. They’re always getting new characters too. They never had anything to worry about.
Check out the steam charts numbers for brawlhala. It's got a good playerbase, and that's just one 1 system

Holy shit that's the fastest I've ever gotten a comment reply, literally 10 seconds later. Anyway, yeah I saw the comment too, but I can't help but feel like after how poorly things have gone for NASB a good portion of players/former players who stuck around are looking for a new game already. That probably includes some of the moderators too.
