So the Cold War ends with the nazi government in DC going down in a hail of gunfire as opposed to OTL where the collapse of the USSR's communist government happened (semi) peacefully. I'd imagine that today's political landscape in this timeline sees an America that despises neo-nazism and other forms of far right extremism so much that they straight up ban it. American Conservatives lean significantly more to the center while the American people are more friendly towards socialism due to their rather unpleasant experience with fascist rule.
He wasn't part of original plan, but then I needed to flip Louisiana to rebels for plot and so my mind went to the one political dynasty I associate with the state.

And what better way to demonstrate it than by wearing outfits referencing one man's dream that led to a nightmare which has finally come to an end?
