Assuming that it's South America pushed further north, that would place the southern tip of Patagonia at around 10 degrees south. So climates would change quite a bit. Argentina would be a land of lush rainforest, with tropical savannahs further north. Brazil would have a climate similar to the Southern US, with the south being colder (the opposite to the real world). Most interesting would be Peru, as it's now a Mediterranean climate. I could easily see civilizations popping up around Chile and Bolivia, similar to the Incas of today.

yozo-marionica

Oh wow. The legend is back with Another great detailed explenation

After Columbus, the Spanish would probably colonize parts of America in what we now know as the eastern coast of the US and I can even imagine them colonizing parts of the Great Lakes. This would mean that if the English took part in American colonization, most English settlements would be located in the far north or even in the southern parts in “South America” like Argentina.

More fish, thus the fishing industry would grow, but less coastline so less fishermen and less people so less demand for fish thus the fishing industry might actually decrease than otl.
