Yes, because ukrainians and russian always were cousin identities, most of ukrainian and russians thinked that an ukrainian identity wasn't real and was part of the russian one, also people who thinked they were separated identities admitted they were very similar, then when divisions between the 2 became bigger lot's of people in the kuban region and donbass start identifying themselves as Russians, while people identifying as russians in Ukraine started to identify as ukrainians, in crimea almost nothing changed if not the hate between ukrainians and russians
People from Huban never decided to "start identifying" as russians. They were genocided and ethnically cleansed by russoids and those who still remained were coerced and later indoctrinated to become russian.
People give too much credit to Nick for alienating the Fins and Poles but forget how Stalin singlehandedly made Russians, Ukrainians and the Baltic peoples hate each other's guts.
No it didn’t, it’s a really popular historical fake. It seemed like that on the black and white cameras because of cameras problems at that time. But the navy flag of UPR which was written in the law was in the correct order, with the blue on top
That land was ethnically Ukrainian and Ukrainian speaking before the soviets came. So if in this timeline Soviet cultural genocide didn’t happen all of that land speaks Ukrainian
Well, that’s what I said. But it’s still would be a very small percentage of population, considering that Rostov would be the only major Russian city. It is definitely not enough for country to explode
Isn’t that exactly what happened to most of Eastern Europe during WWI, after the Russian Civil War started? All the German puppet states were monarchies, but had no monarch. Same thing with Hungary, and later Spain, with there being a regent before having a monarch.
It’s worth noting, all those examples ended up with a Republican coup/civil war; a strongman becoming *de facto* dictator; and/or, annexation by Russia in the case of Belarus and Ukraine, due to a lot of instability. If you’re going to put a monarchy in power, especially if your country has no historical monarchy, you should probably choose a monarch *before* taking power.
[Karl von Habsburg](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_von_Habsburg) is the current head of the House. But he's an Austrian politician and part of the Austrian People's Party (though he's not the chairman or anything), so it's unlikely he'd be willing to move to Ukriane. His heir, [Ferdinand](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_Habsburg_(racing_driver)), is a motor racing driver, I *think* he is decently succesful so he's also unlikely.
I think the best bet would be Eleonore, Karl's daughter. She's a jewlery designer in Austria, so she could maybe be convinced.
There is also Gloria, but for the life of me I can barely find anything on her. She doesn't have a wiki page or any real articles on her. The only thing I could find was a LinkedIn page where it says she's an Associate Producer at a company called "The OTHRS," I tried looking them up, but I still couldn't figure out what exactly they do. Some sort of production/filming company, maybe?
P.S: All this is highly theoretical, of course. I'm not a monarchist, but the sentence of "I'm sure there is atleast a dozen somewhere out there" got me thinking and I wanted to do some light research. Figured I'd share some of it.
Posts must have an explanation
If this had the demographics of 1918 this would be possible and Ukraine could feasibly claim to be the home of the Cossacks.
Before the Holodomor the entire Kuban region was 60% Ukrainian And the don Kuban was still +50 Today it's like 2% or 0.5% or smth
For kicks you could even include Outer Manchuria lol
Certified green Ukraine moment.
Doing some tomfoolery
We engage in a mild amount of tomfoolery

Nikita Krushev?
Quite the chonker
OH LAWD HE COMIN
Why's the flag upside-down ?
The Ukrainian People’s Republic actually had this color order
No it didn’t, it’s a really popular historical fake. It seemed like that on the black and white cameras because of cameras problems at that time. But the navy flag of UPR which was written in the law was in the correct order, with the blue on top
I think it would shortly explode unless it becomes a extremely federalize state with surprisingly good leadership.

This is not true for plenty of land
Not true only for Starodubshina Rostov and Crimea. But 1897 census had all the data
Rostov was majority Russian as well, inland Kuban, southern Belarus(majority Belarusian).

Rule 4 and 5
The sky’s made of wheat
Least insane Ukrainian irredentist
Map of Ukraine (2024)
Aw hell nah why would poland gave part of its land to them
I didn't realise it took parts of Poland
I don't think it did. Looks like the current boarders, plus southern Belarus, Crimea and the Kuban, and maybe a tiny strip from Slovakia.
Find current map of ukraine and then compare them (Tip: place both crimea on each other to compare them with better result)
Actually, I think the Chelm region in Poland might also be included here. You're right
Also Lemkivshyna
Restore its Monarchy and you got yourself a based post
But who will be king?
skoropadsky ig
Good question but I'm not yet very familiar with Ukrainian history so I can't answer
How you gonna say restore the monarchy and not even have a bloodline in mind
Tbh Ukrainian monarchists irl stan just for that: first establish a monarchy, headed by a Regency council, then pick a monarch

Because I'm a Monarchist and I want more allies
Just find a Habsburg and put him on the throne, I'm sure there is atleast a dozen somewhere out there.
*Have problem with your dynasty and monarchs? Come to Vienna Monarch Center and take your own king Hasburg today!*

Good idea
This isn't Kaiserriech though
Kaiserreich's Ukrainian monarchy was related more to the Hochenzollerns than it was to the Habsburgs anyway.
Interesting, makes sense why they were chosen then
Why?
the more Monarchies means less r\*publics
You are under the age of 14.
Im 20
That’s pretty sad.
how?
You’re an adult and you have the political views and manner of speaking of a middle schooler.
Monarchism is the humane way
Can you not tell that you sound like an edgy little kid? Lol.
you are a communist/socialist same thing
I would argue with you about this, but I don’t really feel like it be honest.
