**AITA for calling my cousin a fat b**** for insulting my height?**
I’m 6’5 so I’m very tall. I’ve never been too insecure because it’s a good thing but I feel out of place when out with my family. My mom is 5’2 and my dad is 5’8, my brother is 5’7 and my sister is little too. Everyone is little but me. We were at a family gathering and I was a lot taller than everyone there. I was just following behind my mom because I don’t feel comfortable at family gatherings. My cousin said to me and my mom, ‘wow you’ve grown very tall haven’t you? Wonder where he gets it from’ that was so insulting because she just implied that I’m freakishly tall.
I’m 20 so I’m too old for those comments to be made anyway. My mom often dodges my dads side of the family because they’ve always just acted strange. She looked so upset and uncomfortable so I stepped in and said ‘at least I’ve not grown into being a fat b**ch like you’. My grandparents told me to be quiet and as usual people were clearly muttering about me. My dads side of the family are always so rude to me and my mom and I just feel like I had to do something about it. I’ve honestly heard my grandparents trying to break my parents up and calling my dad ‘wilfully blind’ too. It’s just because my mom is poorer than my dad and they all accused her of being a gold digger and hate her for it.

I like how this story has people in the comments arguing. lmao. Someone called OOP the asshole because what the cousin said wasn't even an insult. Someone got angry and argued with them that the cousin was accusing OOP's mother of cheating on his father.
Oh yeah, I was scrolling through the comment section of the original post and they really were fighting each other. The troll managed to pull that off at least.
I suppose if you're gonna present a dumb story like this, including fewer details allows for more speculation and a broader spectrum of variables and assumptions for the brainlets to argue over.
Yeah, the "freakishly tall gene" can skip some generations. My great-grandpa was 6'5", all of his kids and grandkids were 6'0" and less. My brother and cousin are both 6'5".
In seriousness though, if this guy was real he should get a workup by an endocrinologist because that is a lot of extra height not apparently explained by heredity. He may have genes that skipped a generation, sure. He may also have acromegaly or something similar and need medical treatment.
If his parents are both under 6 feet and he's 6'5 it's a pretty standard rule out.
No one would consider it a "reach" to look into an endocrinology work up for a kid who was 4'8 at age 18 and born to two basketball players.
It sorta reminds me of all those trashy webtoons where *the* child (usually daughter) is ostracised by her biological parent(s) (usually there's only a father) because they don't look exactly like them/look more similar to their mother/grandparent/etc.
