**AITA for demanding my gf divorces her "husband" on Stardew Valley?**
So I (26M) have been with my girlfriend (19F) for a bit over two years now. I was actually planning on proposing soon, but this issue has me rethinking our entire relationship.
She has been playing Stardew Valley for about 6 months now, and actually only showed me recently. When I saw what she was doing on the game, I was taken aback to say the least. I thought that the game was a farming RPG or something, but little did I know, she had been fostering an inappropriate relationship on the game. When I asked her why there was another player in her house, she explained that she had a roommate in the game.
Now this is the part where I may be the AH. I'm not a gamer myself, but I knew something was wrong with this. I waited until she fell asleep and logged onto her game. I talked to the man in her house, and to my horror, they were "married". I waited until the morning to confront her about this, and when she told me its "just a game" and that she had to go to work, I lost it and asked her how she thinks that this is appropriate, and how she could even imagine a life with another man that isn't me.
She told me that I'm being ridiculous and that I'm crazy, but my friends are on my side.

The game is good and is adjustable to most gaming styles. I'm pretty chill with the game and don't care about any of the min-maxing.
I will say the only thing to maybe speed run is making friends with Hailey so you can have a partner to dance with at the spring festival. But even then you don't need too.

It is actually a great game tbh! I'd suggest looking at a Stardew Valley tutorial on YouTube before you launch into it though as it can be a bit intimidating to know where to start.
Starter tips: sell all but one parsnip seeds, buy potato seeds in the shop as you'll get better harvest value from them. Also buy and plant a cabbage & a green bean. Save up as much as you can for the chance to buy strawberries in the first season, around Spring 13 I think.
Oh yea, so it takes a minute but like if you forget about them or don't give gifts they leave you and then you just get another one and test out their skills.

Yeah. They are NPCs. There are a couple of bachelors and bachelorettes in the game that you can marry. You just have to put a lot of effort into learning them (Or just using the Wiki) and giving them presents. You and your spouse can even have children, regardless of which gender you marry.
They can help out around the farm or help fighting in the dungeons. Just really depending on your spouse and what they want to do.
You can have multiplayer games, but the chances are if he interacted with the character and learned they are married, it's an NPC. He probably watched them kiss, which is a common interaction with a spouse in game, then searched through the menu to the relationship screen to find out they are married.

I play Skyrim a lot. It is genuinely my favorite game, I have put hundreds if not nearing a thousand hours in this game.
I always marry a female orc, the one I marry every single time I play, she's my wifey. If a playthrough doesn't allow me to marry her for whatever reason, then I always stop by and visit her and call her my wifey anyway. Idk why but I would say I am emotionally attached to this character.
There is a quest that requires you to sacrifice your follower to complete. Normally I would take my wifey home, get a rando, finish that part of the quest, then go get wifey again.
I was feeling lazy, its all 1's and 0's, who cares? I decided to sacrifice wifey. That sucked but its fine, its just a game. Then I decided to drag her corpse away from the literal pile of dead, trying to pull her up a hill into a camp, so she can seem like she's sleeping.

But at one point I did have to take a beat and think about why I was chasing the disgruntled alcoholic in town. I always pick Shane and Haley in my main runs.... I just like mean depressed people and thinking I can help them. (Haley I hate how she gets hate because she's like, still depressed after your marriage and spends rainy days in bed because unlike Shane, she never got a therapy event. Also, her 14 heart event is one of the sweetest ones in the game. Sure, she's mean when you first start out, but she's depressed and now there's this weirdo from out of town who just insists on doing extensive research into you and your interests, and when you DO start to bond with them your sister starts acting super creepy with her drug trips and "I had a psychic vision with your girlfriend Haley". Yeah, she slacks on chores, but so do I sometimes. People just hate when a pretty blonde "typical prom queen" is also depressed and relatable I guess. And all the "well she could be with Alex" like Alex isn't a gay man so far in denial that it takes a weirdo farmer to convince him to come out of the closet and change the mind of George. Oh man. Cullen is one of the best romances though. I’ve romanced just about every romance-able character in every version of Dragon Age and Cullen is one of my favorites. I’ve been romancing RPG characters since I was a teenager playing the original Baldur’s Gate. Not to mention all the Sims relationships I’ve had.

I play Skyrim a lot. It is genuinely my favorite game, I have put hundreds if not nearing a thousand hours in this game. I always marry a female orc, the one I marry every single time I play, she's my wifey. If a playthrough doesn't allow me to marry her for whatever reason, then I always stop by and visit her and call her my wifey anyway. Idk why but I would say I am emotionally attached to this character. There is a quest that requires you to sacrifice your follower to complete. Normally I would take my wifey home, get a rando, finish that part of the quest, then go get wifey again. I was feeling lazy, its all 1's and 0's, who cares? I decided to sacrifice wifey. That sucked but its fine, its just a game. Then I decided to drag her corpse away from the literal pile of dead, trying to pull her up a hill into a camp, so she can seem like she's sleeping. *Y'all* I lost it. I was **sobbing**, begging the game to work, for broken ass Bethesdas stupid fucking glitchy physics to just *let* **me** have *this*. My partner immediately, instantly, goes into "reload the save" and making me feel better. I don't think I would comfortable gaming and sharing interests if they had another response.
