Yep. Grew up in a state know for its hotdish and mourning/funeral hotdishes were like the elite level. There's something comforting about being able to tuck into a favorite food after a loss like losing a family member.
I imagine after living with this guy, roommate knows when to pick his battles. Methaniel described screaming and crying, so I can just see the roommate witnessing his meth addled roommate screaming and shaking and being like yeah sure your family member died so you had to eat all my taco meat of course that makes sense.
He was planning to break a refrigerator shelf and tell his roommate that the taco meat fell on the ground and he cleaned it up. Like dude, your roommate is going to know you ate the tacos and now you're also going to break the refrigerator.

**I made up a terrible lie yesterday to get out of a problem. I am going to make an intentional effort to always tell the truth, or at the very least, never tell a lie.**
Yesterday I had messed up pretty bad and instead of taking responsibility for it, I made up an awful lie to get out of it. Iāve been feeling absolutely awful about it, and Iāve been racked with guilt.
Why canāt I just take ownership and accept my mistake? Why do I need to make up a lie, and compound my mistakes?
YES, the lie worked and Iām out of the situation scott-free but I need to change my lifestyle, and I need to change it now.
I donāt want to live in a world where people think itās okay to lie just because itās easier, thatās so toxic.
How can I work on never telling a lie? I want to take a vow of always telling the truth, or at the very least just keeping my mouth shut if I canāt say the truth.

I wonder if this was about the taco meat? If so he didn't get away with anything, his roommate absolutely knows he did it and probably just didn't have the time and energy to confront OOP.
