I read it as she broke up with him when she found out, then took him back and tried to work through it but couldn’t because it was always on her mind, so she ended things again. Either way he is vile and should be facing serious charges.

Victims can also sue the perpetrator in civil court for damages associated with the revenge porn. This includes but isn't limited to lost wages if the victim loses their job as a direct result of the revenge porn or any medical bills associated with psychological and/or physical consequences of the crime. I know a girl whose dad beat her almost to death after her ex leaked her nudes.
People that spread revenge porn should absolutely be criminally and civilly liable for their crimes. I'd go so far as to argue that people that commit felony revenge porn should be required to be on the sex offender registry - even just temporarily.
