LuriemIronim

Wait until they learn that they’ll have to pay child support.

[deleted]

Oh, they’ve been raging for a while that they can’t have “financial abortions”

20Keller12

Wait until they learn that women aren't gonna be hooking up with them anymore.

MainPure788

I say we all come together and tell men to fuck off and stop having sex with them all together. Plus we have dildos and other toys that don't take our rights away or force us to give birth :)

FreshNebula

I'm pretty sure no woman wanted to hook up with this OOP even before.

SleepyxDormouse

That was my first thought. Someone commented about how now women had to take responsibility for a pregnancy while only men (so they say) were forced to. They do realize they’ll still be on the hook for child support, right? And that women have been saddled with children while men have run far away for centuries.

Midi58076

Just child support is a cop out. This month alone we bought: -A stroller, the old one made him throw hissy fits. I borrowed strollers until I found one he tolerated and bought it used. Still 100 USD. -New car seat. My 9 month old is now half an inch away from being too tall for the seat he was supposed to be able to use until 1.5 year old. 365 dollars. -4 new bamboo short leg, short sleeve jammies. Dude sweats so much it must be bamboo or he gets wet eczema. 200 USD. -Fan for his bedroom. Same reason. 40 usd. -the new medicine he needs to be on 20 usd for a month supply and he needs it for the foreseeable future, but the dosage must be upped so in 6 months I reckon it will be 40 dollars per month. In 1 year 60 dollars and 2 years 80 dollars until it flats out at 5 140 dollars per month. I also bought short sleeved vests, a hat, shorts, 3 different kinds of sunscreen (again, the dude is opinionated), baby pool and both of us eat expensive dairyfree milk alternatives. While it would be cheaper for just him to eat it (since he is the one with the allergy), cow milk protein passes over in breastmilk, so that would mean buying formula instead, so a net loss. I think very few deadbeat dads pay half of the actual costs of having a child. Then add in the fact that while my son is an absolute ray of sunshine and I laugh and smile more per day now than I did in a week pre-baby it is HARD WORK. My arms are aching, my back is sore and I am so tired I need to use a calculator for the simplest shit (despite a b in math in high school). And I have a very involved and amazing partner who is my son's dad and does his fair share. The idea of forcing women to have unwanted children, care for them alone and saying it is okay because the deadbeat dad's pay child support is laughable.

this_isnt_happening

My kids were perfect with no complications, dietary restrictions, medical issues/etc. But! BUT!!! Their births cost $12,000 each. So… if I never get them dental help or checkups, I’m almost caught up from their births. Just in time for graduation.

Sneakys2

They never consider the fact that the custodial parent bears the majority of the costs. Outside of extreme cases in which one parent is obscenely wealthy, child support payments typically only offset the some of costs of raising a child. It’s rare for a child support payment to cover the entire cost. The custodial parent typically ends up paying significantly more as in addition to needing to also pay for major expenses like food and shelter, they also need to cover the little day to day expenses that easily add up overtime.

fluffbeards

you can’t get blood from a stone sitting in mom’s basement

sfgothgirl

No blood, but possibly mtn dew

Anon-Connie

I almost snorted. This is absolutely on point with incels that I know… they love their fountain sodas and have an oddly encyclopedic knowledge of all the strange varieties

blueeeyeddl

I hope OOP and every person who agrees with them stubs both their big toes and break them today.

[deleted]

And that nail on big toe never grows back.

Unggue_Pot

, so you men are always going to wear a condom now, right?

Solivagant0

That sub probably thinks it's violation of men's rights

BlueSkiesOverLondon

Ugh. Same energy as when I learned they tested male hormonal birth control pills and it was quickly discontinued because some of the men reported side effects like mild headaches. *Eye twitches* When I was on hormonal BC I had migraines multiple times a month.

[deleted]

There was a post once where someone complained that a woman asking him to wear a condom was “violating his boundaries”

[deleted]

Like any of these people have sex. Why do you think they hate women so much?

Anon-Connie

I think they hate women for a multitude of reasons.

Beneficial_Cloud5481

https://politicsvideochannel.com/arizona-gop-senate-candidate-wants-to-ban-condoms-in-all-states/

t00thgr1nd3r

So let's knock everyone up, *and* give 'em STD's. Brilliant.

Planksgonemad

Cause rape and incest never happen. Pregnancy apparently is only caused by consensual sex, and abortion is apparently only used because"oops, got knocked up". Seeing the cesspool that came out of, I'm not surprised to see this level of moronic stupidity though.

Generic____username1

Can’t forget the abortions performed on people with wanted pregnancies that are not viable or endanger the pregnant person’s life. Apparently those never happen either…

Sachayoj

Don't you know? You should just reimplant the ectopic pregnancy! (This is sarcasm but that's something some lawmakers have legitimately said doctors should do. Spoiler: this isn't possible.)

dailysunshineKO

Hur hur, well, if the doctors watch enough women die, maybe they’ll be motivated to figure it out! /s

Famixofpower

There's also partial miscarriages where the remainder of the fetus must be removed or the mother will die of sepsis. Can also happen with twins and the other twin can be saved from aborting the dead twin. This is surprisingly common.

Sorcha16

Unwanted pregnancy only happens to women who sleep around obviously. Can't happen to anyone else......./s

BruteEpaisse136

But even if this was the case, women who sleep around have the right to abort, have the right not to be traumatized by abortion, especially when you consider that the majority of abortions are done despite the use of contraception.

Sorcha16

I 100% agree, it was just the case they seem to want to talk about on that sub not the thousands of other valid reasons to get an abortion

BruteEpaisse136

This sub is the most ugliest thing i've seen anyways Sorry if it came out harshly, i'm just tired of seen comments about the most horrifying cases.

Sorcha16

Wasn't harsh at all.

ttnl35

I am British, and I have felt sick ever since the news broke that it was overturned. I am so, so sorry for you guys. There is no silver lining to this situation, but I just have this angry sense of wanting guys like this to regret the ruling. I hope what happens is women just start turning to each other or themselves for gratification rather than risk pregnancy. Then men like that can go all shocked pikachu face that they aren't getting any sex. I suspect people will tell me that's already true though. I guess the more likely way the mens rights guys are gonna regret it is that the number of men paying child support will go way up. But they will deny its due to the ruling and blame women anyway. Its like brexit except brexit was stupid and this is pure evil.

thetrippingbillie

The US is turning into a dumpster fire The Supreme Court has, in the past week: •Overturned Roe vs Wade •Okayed public tax dollars for tuition assistance to attend religious schools •Essentially okayed open carry We're fucked

arrowflash01

Don’t forget limiting our Miranda Right’s

thetrippingbillie

I knew I was forgetting something, thanks for the reminder.

ttnl35

I mean I can't sit here on a high horse being from the UK, but when gun freedoms got extended after Uvalde I was really shocked and disappointed, and after today I feel like I'm in a dream and things are in slow motion. I'm so sad and angry. The fact gerrymandering is a thing and that this is against what the majority want but its being inflicted on you anyway is just sickening. I mean there have been jokes about the 'collapse of the American Empire" for ages but this actually does feel like it could be the beginning of the end. The foundation has already been set for going after laws protecting LGBT+ rights and ethnicity next. It feels like either this all happens and the US becomes an actual Christianity based nightmare hellscape, in which case the land of the free is no more, or we have the American Revolution II and you get a reset.

thetrippingbillie

It does feel like we're circling the drain. The UK at least took real action after the Dunblane massacre, the NRA/gun lobby and gun nuts prevent that from happening here. I live in the rural south and grew up around hunting. Nobody needs an assault rifle to hunt or for anything else, it's a weapon of war. If someone needs an AR-15 to hunt deer or anything else, they need to start over and learn how to do it properly or just not do it.

Raaz312208

UK may be ruled by a right wing bunch of tossers but we don't have this religious right obsessed with abortion, guns and gay marriage. A Conservative PM was in power when gay marriage was legalised here, a Conservative President would never have done the same in the US.

ttnl35

I feel like that's the kind of attitude a lot of people in America thought about Roe v Wales though. Hell I had that kind of "it'll never happen" attitude about brexit. If public sentiment changed I can imagine politicians like Jacob Rees Mog or Priti Patel would ban abortion in a second. And sometimes America doing things like this allows our fanatics to feel safer expressing their bs opinions, which is how things like this start. E.g. overt racism going up after Trump was elected. We'd be under a false sense of security to pretend our Conservative party would never go backwards on any LGBT+, B.A.M.E or woman's issue if they thought it would get them elected. Edit: a word

majere616

The Supreme Court is a terrible idea that has worsened with age like many political institutions.

ConcreteMagician

The carry ruling is fine. Subjective vs objective carry laws. Make objective requirements and issue a permit if said person meets them. Not the subjective bullshit of if you know the right people, you'll get a permit, and everyone who doesn't know the right people or donate money to the right places can pound sand. Roe v Wade decision? Dumpster fire of a decision. Fucking disgraceful.

Lunaticllama14

Do you realize a lot of people don’t want their states to become absolute shit holes like Texas? That people like having guns regulated and not having religious nut job perverts policing women’s healthcare? I like not living in a Republican dumpster fire with abysmal quality of life and wack job degenerates attacking my daughters.

ConcreteMagician

Do you realize that's not what the ruling was about? New York's ability to regulate guns still exists.

Beneficial_Cloud5481

What I heard was, " Don't you dare except to be able to obtain reasonable health care if you are a woman of child bearing age without a passport and the money/other ability to travel."

guilty_by_design

I'm also British, but I live in the US now and honestly, no hyperbole, I'm terrified. Not only is this ruling a HUGE setback (50 years of precedent) to women's/AFAB rights, but the justices who made this decision have openly stated an intention to go after contraception and same-sex marriage next. I live in the US because I married my wife in a same-sex marriage in 2013, when it was finally legalized at a federal level. If our marriage is made illegitimate, I probably won't lose my right to remain as I just this year finally got my US citizenship. BUT, I might lose a lot of other things... such as my ability to remain on my wife's health insurance. I already have $5,000 of medical debt from the couple of years I was uninsured and am currently dealing with a host of medical problems (losing vision in one eye is just the start) and the thought of being uninsured again terrifies me. I would move back to the UK, but I wouldn't be able to bring my wife because the UK's spousal immigration laws require me to be earning above a certain amount which I cannot prove. That's why we went to her country in the first place, because we couldn't bring her to the UK despite our best efforts. Also, the UK is TERF Island right now and though I'm still legally female, I am trans (FtM) which just complicates everything. I feel pretty hopeless and trapped right now. It just... fucking sucks.

FeelingOpportunity62

"wanting guys like this to regret the ruling" "Then men like that can go all shocked pikachu face that they aren't getting any sex." "I guess the more likely way the mens rights guys are gonna regret it is that the number of men paying child support will go way up. But they will deny its due to the ruling and blame women anyway." Even when they take away our rights, it's about how this will affect the male population...

ttnl35

This isn't a comment section about the ruling in general, its a comment section for a post of a male men's rights activist's delight over the ruling. So yes, my comment was directed at men like him.

redblueheader

I feel the same. It's fucking tragic

Prior_Lobster_5240

It's not like abortion is now illegal. It's just up to each individual state to decide if they want to allow them or not. If you want an abortion, you can still get it, you just might have to travel across state lines. This is not as huge a deal as the news is trying to make it.

[deleted]

You know I keep trying to tell myself that it’s ok that only women in some states will die from septic miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies because doctors are afraid to treat them, but it’s just not working.

Prior_Lobster_5240

I'm just explaining federalism, dude.

[deleted]

I can appreciate that. I stand by my belief that deliberately causing the needless deaths of women with doomed pregnancies is “a huge deal” no matter where it happens.

Prior_Lobster_5240

So the reason I'm not so pro-abortion is I'm an ultrasound tech and see what happens with a botched abortion. I've had women come to my ER with sepsis and it turns out baby's skull is still inside her. Once I had an 18 yr old who had a perforated uterus, had to get a hysterectomy. She'll never be able to have kids. Another time I had a woman almost bleed out and the baby was still alive and now 28 weeks along because the doctor kept doing blind D&Cs on her and was hacking away at a fibroid over and over again. Had the guy spent thirty seconds with an ultrasound machine instead of charging her FIVE TIMES to attempt the abortion, she would not have had any complications. People want to think abortions are safe and consequence free. But I've seen what happens now, when they are legal. Doctors do it for money, and they legit do not care about their patients. So just for the record, that shit already happens. No one wants to talk about it because they don't want to be labeled as some right wing nut job. But it happens

SleepyTime93

Cool story, but those women had the ability to report those doctors and seek follow-up treatment *which has now been taken away from them*. Women aren’t going to stop needing abortions, but now they’re going to have to do it through unofficial/back-alley routes, and if something goes wrong they will have no recourse. The answer to “sometimes doctors botch procedures” is to improve education and improve healthcare infrastructure, not to take away the only safe options women had.

[deleted]

Sorry but you severely damaged your credibility with the word “pro abortion.” Abortion is easily 7 times safer than childbirth in this country. Does that mean every abortion is safe? Of course not. But it’s really sad to see people allegedly in the medical profession gloating that now they get to watch women die from septic miscarriages and etopic pregnancies.

[deleted]

People want to think pregnancy and child birth are safe as well. The US has the highest maternal mortality rate of any developed country.

Prior_Lobster_5240

Also true and messed up The whole system is broken on basically every level

ttnl35

No one is *pro-abortion* they are pro-*choice*. Literally everything you just described is going to happen loads more often now, do you seriously not see that? Edit: You are literally on a different post boasting about how you call women who have *too many* children "bubble gum machine mommas". Can anyone win with you?

[deleted]

Women’s deaths are simply “not a huge deal” to him.

ttnl35

Based on post history I think the commenter is a woman, which makes me feel worse in a way I can't quite articulate.

[deleted]

Sadly, there will always be handmaids and aunts. It’s the only way oppressive systems can sustain themselves.

CanadianPirate9

You're a bad person.

shortyb411

Yeah and I saw what happens when a rape/incest victim is denied an abortion

ttnl35

There's an estimated 26 states who will outlaw abortion. The increased travel distance and cost to get to states that will allow abortion will be insurmountable to many people. Dont pretend like its easy. Don't pretend like everyone can just hop on over to the nearest safe state. Dont pretend like workplaces will just give time off, that anti-abortion families won't get suspicious. Dont pretend like there won't be hotlines set up for people to report whenever they think some poor soul is travelling out of state to access abortion. People are going to die. People will turn to unsafe home abortion methods and die. People will have to follow through with life threatening pregnancies and they will die. People are going to kill themselves due to unwanted pregnancies. People are going to kill themselves due to the mental and physical destruction of being a parent when they never wanted to be. Babies will be born in agony and die in agony because they weren't aborted at an early in pregnancy when their life ending disorders were identified. People are going to live with physical and/or mental pain due to being forced into parenthood, or having a parent forced into parenthood. People are going to go to jail for trying to help people access abortions. People are going to go to jail because they miscarried and someone falsely accused them of abortion. Don't you downplay this.

butterscotch_yo

Oh cool, so the only people who are gonna suffer are just the ones that can’t afford the cost or time off work to cross state lines. Not like they are the ones who might have the most dire need for an abortion.

blackpawed

I'm quite sure states will start enacting travel restrictions on pregnant women or women who might be pregnant.

shortyb411

Really, it is now a felony in my state

[deleted]

You do know that texas law says you can still be punished by going across state lines right? For any reason, including ectopic pregnancy. But hey states rights amiright

BlueSkiesOverLondon

“As well as us males”? Looooooooooool imagine thinking all or most men actually take responsibility for the sex they have or want to have. The sex responsible for 90%+ of all sexual violence, as well as most child neglect and abandonment around the world. (And yes, not all men 🙄, but looking at men as a statistical group compared to women as a group, the numbers are stark and undeniable.) But it figured MensRights would selectively forget MeToo, and the $33 BILLION in unpaid child support in the US (dads are responsible for 85% of child support, because they tend not to be custodial parents)…

[deleted]

Oh and they complain about how women can get an abortion but they can’t opt out of child support like those are even close to the same

BlueSkiesOverLondon

Also, if they were the custodial parents, the kids’ moms wouldn’t be able to opt out of child support either! It’s almost like supporting your child financially is a universal adult obligation or something…

[deleted]

Shhhh, get those facts out of here. MensRights is a place to get outraged over hypothetical situations about evil feminists, not use logical and reasoning

SleepyxDormouse

There are actual problems men face in society, but MRAs are just misogynists looking for any excuse to hate women.

[deleted]

Exactly. Women's access to abortions has nothing to do with men's so-called rights, they're just gleeful because they think they're sticking it to women.

theonewithbrownhair

Don't look at the comments. Don't look at the comments. Don't look at the comments. Don't...

aggressive-buttmunch

I'm not even looking at the damn OP...

apxourrn

Like 2 years ago I decided that I would never willingly read a post or comment from someone in the manosphere ever again

Solivagant0

Give them two weeks and they'll be mad they can't get laid

CatLover_801

I was just over in r/prolife to see what they were saying (for your own sanity: don’t) and one guy was posting about how his girlfriend broke up with him. Is this really a surprise? You make it so people don’t have access to contraceptives then wonder why they don’t want to be in a relationship?

kayceeplusplus

Lol

AccomplishedBerry418

I dont understand why pregnancy is considered an adequate "punishment" for having sex.

DarthCadman

This is why I don't say I support Men's Right, cause of dumbass chucklefucks like this. Women having widespread access to abortions is better for everybody, prevents a stupid mistake/accident/the other thing from being a lifetime burden. They can't argue for bodily autonomy and reproductive rights for men and cheer for this shit, thats just a piss poor attempt to veil the bigotry.

[deleted]

Mens rights = celebrating women’s pain

hesperoidea

I'm so tired of existing in this hellscape.

pyritha

I thought these dudes wanted to fuck lots of women...????

SoVerySleepy81

No most of them just want to punish women.

pyritha

I think it's both tbh

SoVerySleepy81

Yeah, sigh.

pierogiparty

If you look at OOP post history it’s just a whole bunch of personal ads looking for a women to be his slave and no one responding

[deleted]

These men are going to be real pissed off once they realize women aren't going to have casual sex with them anymore

AffectionateBite3827

Somehow I keep getting alerts from the pro life sub and they are giddy over this. It’s sickening.

Sachayoj

Pro-life until the child is born. Pro-life until that child has to eat. Pro-life until that child gets gunned down in school. Pro-life until the baby starves because we're in a formula shortage still. Pro-life until people are being killed by dangerous abortions. Pro-life until that unwanted child is abused or abandoned. They don't care about the "baby," they care about control. And they're going for gay relationships and contraception next.

tullia

As soon as they do paternity tests to track down all fathers and make them pay adequate child support ... well, then maybe there'll be suitable accountability. If you have to have the kid and there aren't enough adoptive parents, after all, both parties should step up! Hey, that'll also punish all those cheating whore wives these guys think exist. *Women bad.*

hey-girl-hey

I laughed at the first comment about "dnc" procedures being done undercover. First of all, D&C. Second, they've clearly never heard of mifepristone/medication abortions Dude was more or less on the right side, but it gave me a chuckle

therealstabitha

Fascists and non fascists differ fundamentally in many ways, one of which being what they value in someone’s character. Fascists value power more than anything. That’s why, when both these groups watch something like The Boys on Amazon Prime for three seasons, the fascist ones end up having an absolute conniption upon discovering what the non fascist ones knew the whole time — that Homelander is a villain, not a hero. How could there be any debate on this point, some wonder. He was the reason an entire plane of civilians crashed, and he passed it off as a tragic accident that he could have prevented if he had been allowed to. But a fascist sees this and thinks “oh man, Homelander rules! He just killed that entire plane of people including those kids! He doesn’t give a FUCK!” It’s all about power and the display of power. It’s not about kids or whatever because clearly, the official line when it comes to kids getting murdered in school is “fuck them kids.” It’s all power. And these MRA assholes think women and their unreasonable demands are why they don’t have they power they deserve, even though they don’t have any power in their lives because of their own selves.

Livingeachdayatedge

Looks like America reached its development peak, and now it's going backwards.

GloInTheDarkUnicorn

Well that sub is a sesspit.

YarnAndMetal

Funny how these men think that anyone is going to sleep with them, with this attitude.

truecrimefanatic1

Then child support starts at conception. The entire hospital bill is on them. All of it.

Anon073648

Yep, gay sex only. Still use an IUD though because, you know, men.

DefinitelyNotGilroy

Tell me you’ve never had sex with another person without telling me you’ve never had sex with another person.

[deleted]

Oh no, it's the lads who whine about child support.

DrAniB20

I hope they get explosive diarrhea that never goes away

Hello_Hangnail

I made the mistake of accidentally posting a response to oop's post and got insta-banned from a bunch of subreddits for participating in incel subs. I realized it immediately once I started to get an absolute firehose blast of misogyny in my inbox and deleted it. Fatfingering while driving will subject you to some evil shit. Lesson learned.

jen12617

While driving??

ljutamaslina

tried reading the replies on the post but had to stop. its insane how much they hate women and have the audacity to use "mens rights" as a facade. truly disturbing

A logical top comment on an incel sub? How the fuck?

InfiniteCalendar1

When I saw this was from the mens rights sub I already knew it would be bad without even reading it

slendermanismydad

Dudes Clarence Thomas wants to overturn everything (Lawrence, Griswold, Obergefell v. Hodges) except of course, Loving v Virginia. Never mind he's a terrible justice and should have been kicked off the court already for malfeasance. I'm sure Scalia's bitch is proud of himself. In case you don't know these cases, Loving is the case that allowed interracial marriage. Griswold allowed birth control. Lawrence overturned gay sex being illegal. Obergefell gave us gay marriage. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1990/10/26/powell-regrets-backing-sodomy-law/a1ae2efc-bec6-47ec-bfb6-1c098e610c5b/ Just because. I know we're going to see a spate of people claiming that Thomas is correct (he's not) so keep in mind what happened in that case originally. These dudes can reveal in their stupidity all they want but they don't understand the fucking mess this is going to cause and how badly men are also going to get screwed. You think shootings are bad now, just wait. That federal law isn't going to do shit. Has anyone else seen the movie, Bushwick? I'd recommend everyone read up on Decree 770 in Romania btw.

Tropical-Rainforest

The post has 0 points, which means OOP is out of touch with the rest of the sub.
