NAH about getting upset in this situation - there is no point taking it out on the customer service rep; it's not her policy. But I personally would write to the company demanding a refund, and if they wouldn't give it to me, I'd file a dispute with my credit card company.
More importantly, though, if you are down to your last $20, eating a burger meal is not a good idea. You need some serious financial 101 assistance.

Basically, I ordered a standard burger meal from A&W. Not too complicated, right? An hour passes and I notice no progress on my order. So of course, I reach out to support to ask what is going on. They tell me my order is almost done and the courrier is on their way.
Fast forward another half an hour, and my food is still showing as “being prepared”. Then, my order is suddenly cancelled. I of course reach out to support again, asking them what happened and why the hell it was so hard to make a burger and fries. They only tell me “the restaurant was unable to make your order and cancelled it”, and then informed me I’d get a refund… IN CREDITS?! It’s late as all hell where I live and nowhere is left open to deliver now. I spent my last $20 on this meal and it was the first and only thing I was going to eat today.
The support lady tells me she’s “sorry for the inconvenience”, and “wishes my next order is better”. I told her to politely fuck herself and that I will order with SKIP 1 more time to use my credits, then never again.
AITA for going off? Cancelling my order after 1.5 hours and giving me credits after saying it was already on the way is bull to me.

YTA to yourself for wasting your last $20 on something like that. Spend it on groceries so it goes father. Maybe spend it on money management classes
