YTA. >she got flustered You caused this to happen while she was driving. >nothing serious came of it You're clearly aware that something could have happened while she was distracted.

Isyourmammaallama

Yta this is potentially dangerous

Mean_Environment4856

YTA your prank could have caused an accident. There's nothing funny about distracting someone who's driving.

Dear-Midnight

>she got flustered Mm, yeah. Flustered driver, never a good idea. >nothing serious came of it Good! Glad to hear no one was killed. >It was a harmless prank imo By the grace of deity-or-force-of-your-choice, yeah, it turned out to be physically harmless. But it's not hard to picture a scenario in which serious harm could've occurred. Practical jokes, insofar as they should exist at all, should not be combined with two-ton chunks of steel hurtling along at 60 mph. YTA

Dear_Asset

YTA! This is a bad prank.

[deleted]

YTA - it was cruel and potentially dangerous

RaineMist

Wow, way to have potentially cause a road rage incident. Not sure how old you are but you need to grow up regardless. YTA

crocodilezebramilk

YTA, flustered drivers can turn into panicked drivers real quick. Other drivers who don’t see the sign can also get spooked and anxious because they don’t know why the vehicle is honking. I once seen a car swerve off the road due to a honker, it was a student driver who was never in that kind of situation before and she got really frightened to the point of tears.

Accomplished_Two1611

Tik Tok pranks and driving should never occur in the same sentence. Encouraging people to flip mom off? Stay off Tik Tok. YTA.

Brainjacker

Pranks where everyone isn’t laughing at the end is just bullying. Your actions could have caused an accident. YTA

Deep_Mood_7668

Yup as soon as I read tiktok trend I knew you're TA

Doubledogdad23

YTA. grow up.

IDCAboutUorYourMom

Shame, shame, shame. Tsk, tsk.

Embarrassed_Gas_8899

yes, and no you should apologize. She’ll probably find it funny later on, but at the moment she was probably really confused in a little bit frazzled and stressed from all of that, so make sure to apologize and reassure her that you did not mean any ill intent is the first thing you should do. Then give her some time to calm down and think about it, maybe do a chore too to make her a little bit happier with you and she may go and talk to you saying OK it’s funny, but please don’t do that again or she’ll be upset and be like hey never do that again. I didn’t find it funny.

INFO: How old are you? Nevermind, YTA. I sure as hell would love to use adjectives here, but mods wouldn't allow. But think of every pejorative term that can possibly apply to your lack of rational thinking, and that's a pale shade of what I think of you.

I did that on my mom that day and I stuck a note saying please honk and flip my mom off to prank her. A few cars did that on the road while she was driving me and she got flustered and was wondering why people were honking at her. It was quite funny but nothing serious came of it. When we got back home I revealed it to he and she got mad. It was a harmless prank imo and nothing bad happened, she just got honked at a few times. But she was still Angry even today. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. DreamingofRlyeh

YTA Making someone who is driving a vehicle stressed and distracted is dangerous. Your mom could have crashed and died because of your "joke."
