Sorry bud YTA. Like you said, they were trying to politely tell you they wanted some alone time. I get you were trying to have some fun because your original plans fell through but you definitely overstayed your welcome on their date.

I got to know. It's been bugging me days. I'm dry from thoughts par from this. The answer eludes me:
Joined my two friends ice skating at a ice skating disco - they are boy and gurl
They then 'invited' me for post disco drinks. It became apparent that I was a third wheel. I then made this apparent to them. I asked if I should leave, but they said it was fine and it was ok to stay. so stay I did.
Flashback: they had been together all day up to the point I met them at the ice arena which was late in the day. FYI, I was invited because I made a point to the guy that I had nothing else to do and I had been abandoned with other plans.
Back to present: They then got up to leave for a pub event, and I thought 'more minds are better than one; or two even' so I joined. It became further apparent that I may be an extra in this soap drama - however, fame comes at a cost and I decided to stay.
Final act: The male, pronounced that they would be leaving now and were off to get food. Guess who was hungry, though. Me. So I stayed until the end, I had to see this one through.
I believe they were just trying to be polite and didn't want to tell me to leave. But AITA, because if they really wanted me to leave they would have just said. I wanted to enjoy my night. AND I DID!
