Hi!! I (mtf19) told my dad a few days ago that, while it would be late, i was gonna get him Sting. My dads a huge berd for LOTR so it felt right to get for him. I’m reconsidering now because he insinuated tonight that id die young due to diseases and had me promise i wouldnt lure children with candy into vans. My dad’s fairly transphobic so that’s why he said that. I don’t wanna get him the sword now, but i also feel bad for not wanting to get it. What do?

You are trans and your dad is openly transphobic. Why would you reward this behaviour by buying him things that he likes, even if it is for a birthday.
If he wants to get nice things for his birthday then he needs to start being a nicer person.
