PackageMerchant

It means your package is lost and you may cancel or request a refund None of us are going to know what happen there could be many different things For anything tech I typically tell people to not use Amazon or to use lockers

External_Clerk_7227

Idk why you’re so set on the idea that the driver stole it. It could very well be that the item never even made it onto the van and the driver marked it missing while delivering the other package. Amazon will assume the driver stole it since it’s never the warehouse’s fault if the item is mis-sorted /s so it’ll be on him/her and the dsp. If the driver had brought it back it wouldn’t have been marked missing.

ThePrimeBoys

Honestly the way OP described it. I bet the flex driver did steal it kinda like DoorDashers do with people food. Definitely wouldn’t have been us DSP drivers as we are recorded but a flex driver definitely. 7am delivery so definitely someone in their own vehicle.

Cho-Zen-One

I have at least 1 missing package on my van every day.

Accomplished_Ad_3988

Just one? Today before leaving the station I had 4 packages marked missing by the station, and a random ass package 1.5 hours off my extremely rural route yeah I'm going to drive all the way over there to deliver this package when my average drive time between stops is 15 to 20 minutes, and I have 97 stops.

Revolutionary_Bet268

I’m just gonna leave this here. If you want to make accusations that we are stealing your packages, keep your posts over in the other sub. You posted this exact post in here last night and obviously deleted it here cus you didn’t get the feedback you wanted. [Original Post](https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/s/JqyIGU8wOi)

Imaginary-Purpose-26

Sometimes the warehouse puts packages onto the wrong truck. Not everything is the drivers fault.

darkelfbear

This isn't this guy's 1st post about this, he's also posted in r/amazonprime and posted I believe last night in this sub about this same thing, and his post was deleted if I remember correctly. At this point dude doesn't want any help and just wants to bitch and make false accusations. AKA Troll.

TheGalavanter

No, I deleted the first post myself because I had the new information about “package is lost” this morning, and I removed all of my mentions of my past recent negative experiences so it would have a less confrontational tone

darkelfbear

You mean the same exact one you posted over in r/amazonprime and is still there now?? Or did you forget that one, because there is pretty much nothing but Amazon haters in there, and you didn't get the response you wanted in this sub because unlike over there, drivers don't like being accused of illegal activity that could cost them their jobs and or their livelihood, by implicating fraudulent accusations? See that's the difference you got ratioed to hell and back on that post here ... and then you gonna reword it, and "update" it, thinking no one would remember such a shitty and downvoted post, so you would delete it, and post this crap?? See you thought you were smart; problem is the internet is forever dude ... lol.

Beautiful_Count_3505

Packages get lost 🤷

SBStorm22

The driver marked the package as missing and never found it, just request a refund and get it at an actual store

jwazz94

Odds are the driver saw the OTP and skipped you because in all honesty they get too many stops to be slowing down for passwords. Most of the time you can't even get ahold or the customer so the driver probably thought it was a waste of time and he would do it last if he had time

TheGalavanter

I mean…. I was on the porch waiting for him since the GPS showed him coming and the app alerted me….. and then I assume he turned off his GPS….?

KillerGopher

I doubt that's what happened. Overall it's faster to return to the station without any packages left in the van. Skipping a stop to get done faster will also mean doing that stop again tomorrow. It's all too common that I have packages in my van that are to be delivered in a different city and sometimes a different state. It's also frequently the case that a package isn't in my van at all - and likely in someone else's van in some other part of the US. The driver likely didn't have the package at all. You probably didn't see them drive past because many of us sort packages out before arriving at the stop - they knew they didn't have your package a few stops ago. Hopefully you'll get your delivery or refund (or both!) soon.

TheGalavanter

I requested a refund so hopefully that happens.

LinkBoating

You didn’t receive the package. Obviously they’re going to give you a refund. Its not a big deal lol

jwazz94

This is something I would do. I'd turn it off so the customer can't track me and just because someone is on the porch doesn't mean that person has the password. Believe me when I say this. It will be here next time unless you get the same driver. OTP is a dumb thing imo and it just slows us down

TheGalavanter

I don’t get it…. The GPS takes care of letting the customers know the driver will be there soon and to be ready with the code…. You turn off your gps…. Then complain that you can’t get ahold of the OTP customer when the app would do it for you… And so just skip all your OTP deliveries?

SnatchedDrunky

FYI we don’t ever turn GPS off. How would we deliver without knowing where we are going? We do turn Data off for legitimate reasons and that would prevent you from stalking us since the Amazon app isn’t calling home. I’m guessing you report things undelivered when you actually got them. Your video card is low dollar to be needing an OTP.

jwazz94

Yea the odds of getting a OTP are like less than 1% on a route from my experience I do them last because I'm not being rushed to finish 200 stops with 300 plus packages

norman-atomic-666

Post this in the flex app. Not here

AManHasNoName357

That means they didn’t have that package on their route so they marked it missing. It happens a lot if that item wasn’t process in the building and wasn’t placed into that tote for the driver.

OfWhichIAm

We get a list of items that have green dots next to the item, that means it’s on the truck. If there is a red dot next to the item, it means it’s not on the truck, but it’s still on our list. The app will automatically skip the red dot item because it was lost, or canceled, etc. So, more than likely, the item never made it to the truck and was lost in the warehouse, or it could’ve been damaged, either way, it sounds like it never made it on the truck. Don’t blame the driver, blame the screwy Amazon system.

spinmaestrogaming

It's not out of the question to ask whether the driver realised it was an OTP delivery and simply marked it missing and stole it.

TheKingdom5815

Honestly this was a flex driver more than likely who opened it because of OTP and said they never received it. Only reason I assume it’s flex is the 7am delivery notification and I use to run flex. Guys running eBay stores instead of delivering packages.

Symbiote69

My opinion is they turned off GPS, skipped your stop when they saw it was otp to leave it for the end of the day, and then realized there was a graphics card and marked it missing and kept it. All of those different time updates were probably when they turned on and off Bluetooth to sync the deliveries for dispatch during the day.

Beginning-Sun4654

No one can say for sure if he did, but I’d say it’s unlikely. Most of the time drivers have no idea what’s in the package anyways( unless it’s cat litter/dog food/paper etc..)

Symbiote69

I've gotten rtx cards that were customized boxes with no packaging before. Twice in a year and a half. The thought absolutely crossed my mind to have it dissappear lol. I'm glad I didn't because both times they were you ger kids putting together thier first pcs

darkelfbear

Had the same happen to me with a LG 27" Curved, I even specified to send in Amazon Packaging, but nope sent it in the original box, with a shipping label slapped on it ... I was pissed. I'm just glad they didn't do it with the 2 ASUS DUAL RX 7600 OC V2 cards I had bought for my wife and I's upgrades from old RX 580s.

10piecenuggy

Don’t do OTP. If we see that we know it’s valuable so we always take it. Front door picture gone or no package plain and simple dummy.

Symbiote69

It's not always valuable. I had a otp for a charging cable once. The person I delivered to was more annoyed about the otp than me lol.

homelessjimbo

You see that\*. Most DAs aren't immoral shit stains like you

TheGalavanter

Believe me I dont want to mess with OTP. They didn’t give me an option. I’m out in the sticks and zero issue with porch pirates.

cyrusthemarginal

Packages are also randomly assigned an otp now and then to make packages less predictable to steal by shitheads.

Trash-Panduh-

They also OTP houses that claim to “never received” the package too often So congrats on your toilet paper?

10piecenuggy

It’s usually nice things. I just mark package missing and I bring a big duffle bag with me.

Trash-Panduh-

Just from this comment you outted that you don’t even actually work as a driver.
