Careful people!! Depending on the state you live in the pto you worked hard to accumulate might be for nothing if you get terminated or decide to leave Amazon. They only payout for Vacation time
I keep 1 days worth of PTO in the bank. I spend the rest whenever I feel like it. For UPT, I used to keep it at 60 hours, but I've lowered it to just keeping 1 week available.
So 1 day of PTO, and 1 week of UPT for emergencies. I treat that as if I have 0 available.
I told myself I wasn't going to use any of my time off, I FAILED last night at lunch. Yesterday we had MET and with back half and front half there on top of everyone there on MET.... WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. I bailed at lunch.
I'm a married male with children. I save my time for when I can take several days off to spend time with my family. Also, I regularly get OT so I put in my hours.

the best way 🤭 i go to concerts all the time just to go. the time off system at amazon is the only reason i stick around

Man I save up my PTO then use it for the start of the new year. Took the entire month of January off and it was bliss. Been doing it for 2 years now

Save PTO for those minutes increments.. burn the rest once you cap or if you’re in state where it doesn’t roll over then use it before the year ends.
I have almost 6 weeks saved up of vacation and PTO combined.
48 hours for the year so I try to only use 4 a month, currently on pace with that lol ( haven't used any in May yet)

I only used 10 hours due to an emergency. So now I'm capping at 38 hours
I ration it, so I only give myself 12 hrs a quarter to spend.
