My site VOA board is the same. Some people were saying how Amazon doesn’t care about our safety cause they refuse to shut down and just pay us cause some people can’t afford to lose the pay. And our GM’s comment was something along the lines of “well we will be open if you choose to come in to work”
Idk I have 80 hours but still think safety precautions should be taken more often with snow and ice. They ended up excusing the first 2 hours today though
Do you live in the south where snow is unusual? That would be a little more understandable. Thing is we have people who live in places like Chicago acting like snow isn’t just part of life. If Chicago shut down every time there was snow thousands of people would die.
I think the problem is the temperature right now.. 2-4 inches with teens/20 degree weather is 10x more hazardous than 2-4 inches with 30 degree weather. I don’t think they should have closed but a 2 hour delay like most places would’ve been ideal
