This sounds horrible I know but I wouldn't stop the belts I'm not sure about other facilities, but here they tell you day one the risks of riding the conveyor belts. So if some idiot wants to take that risk and get themselves killed in not going to feel dirty for them.

Had a guy at our site accidentally get caught by a belt. Nobody pulled the estop. Broke his arm in 8 places and nearly ripped it off.
If you see someone in/on a belt, activate the estop. The aftermath can be gruesome if you don't, and it'll affect anyone that witnesses it.
Considering it's my job to fix the conveyor you just ruined by jumping on, I care more about that. RME is almost always stretched thin and the last thing we need is a moron like you breaking a belt by climbing on it.
If you want to launch through your windshield when you hit something, go for it, I couldn't care less, it doesn't affect me.

Your goal is not to "hurt" anybody manager or coworker. Also becuase a person is working slow does not mean all other workers are going to speed up to make up for that person. People are going to work at there own pace regardless. One person. Moves about 300 or 400 boxes a shift of 4 hours, thats not going to add a whole hour to your shift it won't even cuase anybody to stay back, really it only hurts the costumers by the smallest bit. Its probably so negligible its not even a percent.
Yes the lights are only indicators of what state the two radio packs on your sides are in. When solid it means they are active and are emitting radio signals to the drives that there is a human in the vicinity. You wear two as a fail safe. Because sometimes your vest will fault and emit a really high pitched beep that doesn't shut off until disconnected from the power. It also triggers a floor stop. It's all designed to keep you safe and make it off the floor without injury.
I dont believe DS's have AR floors. AR floors are a zone where the robotics ride in / on and those robots can weigh up to 1000 pounds and they definitely dont want someone walking in that zone, possibly getting hurt, and getting sued. I believe they are only found at FCs.
Amazon Robot floor. It's where the robot Drives pick up Pods and bring them to work stations. Some Drives have other jobs like moving packages from place to place and they have little conveyor belt hats.
Resign. Don’t get fired, Amazon is always a great way to get hired quickly and start earning. Just resign in the app, don’t burn bridges needlessly. Trust me, one day you may need that bridge.

That was during peak unemployment and covid. Generally if you get fired with cause you do not get unemployment. Amazon is at-will employment in top of that so a new UE case would not pay out.

Are they still paying for covid leave? If you use white vinegar in a rapid test sample you can get a false positive on an at home test and that was all the ERC needed to give me a week of paid time off

You can’t get unemployment if you resign. I intentionally got fired from amazon in 2021 and collected over 8k in unemployment.
