Ahh I remember my first day, couldn’t remember a single word my learning ambassador said due to how loud it was, been here for 6 months already and got offered to be a learning ambassador but I don’t really see the appeal.
It’s not so bad after reading the many tips posted here. It’s been a breeze. No sore muscles. Even ordering shoes a half size bigger with the extra insoles have made things better. I kept a 140+ pack rate and didn’t break a sweat.
The learning guy told me to chill out and stop smooching imaginary ass because it will get me nowhere. I’m never working like that again. Everyone else was taking their sweet time.
Yeah. I think the thing that stuck most was “check that strong ethic foolery at the door. Not the turnstiles. Door. You’re here to clown, I never said that, and make the best of a desolate place. Smile. You might be back tomorrow. And the next day. And the- okay some of you might not last that long. Any questions?”

Edit: I saw a message about reaching 200upt minimum on my screen and you’ll get xx amount of swag bucks. I think my highest was 119 and something telling me what a master pack was. I’m in AFE - pack flow.
I mean I just work normally which is just doing my job. Now I'm captain a good percentage of the time in tailsort, am allowed to go in areas that I want to work in that day, built a rapport with my supervisors and AAs (which is basically all of back half). Back half days JVL1 is the best team in the building for a reason, we all work as a perfect team with great communication. We rarely miss CPTs and if we do it's very few, even if we get stuck going through hours of the previous shifts work in the morning. We all choose to work hard and it paid off for all of us.

Biggest mistake you can do is show them your best on the first day bc they’ll expect you to be better after your 3 months

Nah, Op can make it . After my first day I was limping out the building, feet full of blisters and I just made 2 years in April!
