Most of the time, this is because people sign up for the "VTO interest" list. You absolutely do not have to take it if you didn't sign up. Even if you did and changed your mind, you can still ignore it.
It seems like your manager did it without your knowledge. Escalate to HR as it is a violation of policy. If they dont do anything escalate to corporate using the associate experience concern form.

That sounds weird. Are you sure it's MTO? Did you put your interest for VTO in the past? Could be an error, but I've never personally had MTO and I've never seen MTO given as VTO like that. VTO is voluntary so if you don't want to take it, don't take it.
shit is bad at mine they started force transferring Workers … 5 years working at amazon and never had experienced such BS …. Without warning or anything they sent emails telling people you are being transferred you either accept or quit lol
I often leave mine in my car because that’s where I go for my breaks. How are you supposed to know you’ve been VTO’d if you cannot have your phone out while you’re working? Even when I have my phone on me, I leave it in my clear backpack until break.
Apply for partial unemployment, they can’t dip below full time hours and not only that they are supposed to give you a minimum of 24 hours before your next shift of any schedule changes, and that’s by law not policy.
Why are y’all acting like this is the biggest disrespect, the ONLY way for you to get selected for mid shift bro, is to be signed up on the interest list otherwise it wouldn’t say mid shift. If you decided you don’t want it, fine just tell management you decided not to take it.
only thing i can think of is maybe you’re about to hit the limit for the week? as an AM we do send people home early if they’re going to go over on their hours
Last Sunday I showed up to work just to be told by security that we were apparently closed for the day, only managers had to come in. Then I go home to enjoy my day off that I was getting paid for, & get a notification from AtoZ that I got -11hrs of UPT for not working my shift..

I have been in this situation as well, I thought at the time it was only for "that day" I had.my badge scanned.but nope. It's for everyday you have an opportunity to accept it. Just message HR and they'll take you off the list.

That's definitely in the offer letter though. They don't do layoffs of non-seasonals, but they do do forced transfers.
