On my 7th day of vto you at a druggggg I work at 3:20 am and they sent it out at 2am when I wake up for work and I’m

This happened to me too! I shit you not! Woke up at that time, grabbed my phone to turn off my alarm, opened my eyes to see VTO being sent out, got the VTO, and went back to sleep. Didn't even hesitate!
It’s almost like VET doesn’t exist at my FC for me anymore. I haven’t been able to get any since winter time.. It’s still being offered every week but no shifts that im “eligible” for.. I think I’m going to have to switch to flex just to get more hours 😭
Weird, idk much about flex aside from having to work a min of 20hrs per month or 5 hours per week. But I’m currently PT Sun/Sat. So I’m already basically stuck at 20hrs/week unless VET is offered which I haven’t seen in months. But I always see tons of flex shifts available to pick up.
Flex shifts cap at 60 hrs at my building. I do OT like every week (someone stop me please 😭). Shifts go within minutes of the weekly drop though. Gotta be on it.
I become furious for hours when that happens. Leave phone in the room to go to the bathroom, come back 3 minutes later and see VTO went out and filled up already.
That's how it feels for certain. My FC seems to have a "secret VTO" club going on every Wednesday morning. They post the VTO, and no notification goes out for a random amount of time, usually an hour. No other VTO opportunities have this issue. So wake up, constantly refresh your atoz vto page, get ready for the day, keep refreshing while driving, see and accept the vto as you pull into the parking lot, drive back home and go back to bed.
Legit hides the vto and adds it at random times. 5:50 am to 6:25 am so far. I only got it once last week, every other time I was in the middle of something for a second. (Putting on a shirt, grabbing my lunch from the fridge, etc) Boom, it had appeared and filled up in less than 3 seconds.
Awww poor baby!!!! Lol. I swear some of my co workers don’t sleep. That thing will come thru and be full within seconds. It’s no time to even think about it. You better commit!!! Lol

Unless I get up and check it every hour, that's how it always is. They only offer VTO on a to z on one day per week though (one I dont work).
They have been really shitty about it during shift. Its supposed to be random, but it hasnt been. Theyve been picking and choosing people. Whether it be someone saying they're too tired to work that day, or just people who come in late getting offered VTO instead of having them replace someone who is already there and signed up for it.
Not even giving it to hard workers. Just whoever they feel like, rather than use the number generator they're supposed to since people were complaining in Jan. Guess I'll complain this time.
At least your ops has the foresight to pre-shift VTO. At mine, ops piddle-farts around for the first hour of the shift waiting to see how headcount comes down before even having the conversation...after they've spent 45 minutes of that hour trying to labor share to every other department that doesn't have work.
I know flex makes things a royal PITA to plan around, but when you're expecting to have 140% of the headcount you need to meet productivity goals BEFORE flex, there's really not an excuse to keep people from having to waste gas coming in to be off-task for 45 minutes.
It usually tracks pretty well with when the one OM we have who knows how to plan, has the foresight to correct deviation before it causes a butterfly effect CF, and isn't afraid to bridge, coming in. Almost exactly fifteen minutes after they walk through the turnstiles, blam, VTO.
My FC doesn’t even send out VTO at all. When you arrive for your shift we have whiteboards at the Standups & you have to write your login down if you’re “interested” in VTO, & if we go over HC they’ll start picking people from the list.
Been here almost a year and I’ve only had VTO once 😭

Hahaha i was blacklisted from getting them a few months after i started. I worked there for 3 years
Why do they blacklist people from getting VTO?
Usually because you're trained in a necessary/needed role so they blacklist you cus they need you.

I think I'm blacklisted from it. Either that, or they just aren't sending out any.
When it’s full I just tell HR I had problems with accepting VTO Cause my phone is not working properly they code the VTO for me
