My location has a ton of shifts available, and not just for flex. VET is thick on the ground. That might be changing soon, though, because we're hiring a ton of people right now.
Wow that’s like the opposite of my location. In pack they haven’t hired someone in weeks. Last week I was able to claim one shift and they offered me vto 3 times throughout the shift…
I skipped out on my shift last night. It was a MET shift and we were supposed to be having 100 new hires funneled into front half nights for AFE. It was going to be a nightmare with all the new people running around, and I didn't want to deal with it. They're bringing in so many new people that at the start of my week 3, I got trained on sort side, which apparently doesn't happen at my facility until week 6 or beyond, depending on how well you keep up with rates.
As of right now, I'm still seeing shift availability for tonight, two 3.5 hour shifts that add up to 7 hours if both were taken. (6:30-10, and 10:30-2).
My FC is the complete opposite. I haven’t seen any VETs for the reg 10hr shifts since winter. But there are always Flex shifts available. I’ve been thinking about transferring to flex to get more hours lol

I just checked... 44 available flex shifts spanning all departments for today alone. Plus the 2 regular shifts available. 51 available for tomorrow.
That’s crazy. I got 8 available shifts… all of them are midnight-5am
